AIPMT 2016 Exam Dates | Online Application | Eligibility

All Indian Pre-Medical or Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) is a national level entrance examination. CBSE schedule AIPMT examination for admission in MBBS and BDS in various medical colleges in the country. The 15% admissions of total available seats for medical or dental programs in medical colleges are co-ordinated by university of India, municipal, state govt. and other local authorities of India (except J&K) is made based on AIPMT. The applications will be available from December 2015 and examination will be conducted probably in the 1st week of May 2016.

Eligibility Criteria AIPMT 2016

The candidates can fill the application for AIPMT if they fulfil following conditions:

  • The minimum age to apply for AIPMT is 17 years as on 31st December 2016 during admission.
  • The upper age limit under 15% all India quota is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of entrance examination. The upper age limit relaxation for Sc/ST/OBC category is 5 years.
  • The candidates must have scored 50% for general category (40% for SC/ST) with Physics/Chemistry/Biology/English as subjects from a recognized university.

How to apply

The candidates need to visit www.aipmt.nic.in and download the application form to apply for AIPMT.

The candidates have to fill their personal (such as name/contact number/email ID etc.) and academic details as needed in the application form. After this they need to note down their registration number.

They have to upload their recent passport size photograph (only in JPG format between 10kb to 100kb) and signature (only in JPG format between 3kb to 20 kb) and thumb impression (only in JPG format between 3kb to 20kb) and submit it.

The application procedure will only be completed once you pay the application fee through Debit/Credit card or e-challan.

Examination Pattern

The examination paper will have 180 MCQ type questions and total marks will be 720.

The duration of the examination is 3 hours.

The examinations paper will be available both in Hindi and English.

The candidates will get 4 marks for each correct answer and there will be penalty of 1 marks for each wrong answer.

The subject-wise distribution of marks is as follows-

  • Chemistry (45 questions)- 180 marks
  • Physics (45 questions)- 180 marks
  • Biology (90 questions)- 360 marks
  • Total (180 questions)- 720 marks
