Bihar Polytechnic is also known as Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE). It is a state level examination conducted by Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. Bihar Polytechnic 2018 is a gate for various polytechnic courses offered by different Polytechnic institutions & colleges of Bihar. Important Dates

  • Applications will be available- from March 2018
  • Closing date for applications- April 2018
  • Closing date to submit application fee- Last week of April 2018
  • Closing date to receive the applications- 1st week of May 2018
  • Availability of admit cards- Last week of April 2018
  • Examination date- May 2018
  • Declaration of results- June 2018 

Eligibility Criteria

General ability

  • The applicants must be an Indian citizen.
  • The applicants must belong to Bihar state.
  • The applicants whose parents are permanent residence of Bihar can also apply for Bihar Polytechnic 2018.

Eligibility for PE courses

  • The applicants should have qualified 10th standard or equivalent scoring minimum 35% marks (appearing applicants can also apply).
  • There is no age limitation to apply for this course.

Eligibility for PPE courses

  • The applicants should have qualified 10th standard or equivalent scoring minimum 50% marks in Science & Mathematics subjects (appearing applicants can also apply).
  • The applicants must have completed 19 years of age as on 1st July of admission year.

Eligibility for PMD courses

  • The applicants must have qualified 10th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English subjects (appearing applicants can also apply).
  • The applicants must have completed 15 years of age. The maximum age to apply for Bihar Polytechnic 2018 is 30 years.

Bihar Polytechnic 2018 Application form

The application forms for Bihar Polytechnic 2018 can be filled either through online or offline mode. The application forms will be available from March 2018 till 1st week of May 2018. For online mode, the applications will be available at the official website of BCECE and for offline mode the application forms will be available at designated counter. The duly filled applications have to be send at this address-

Application fee

The application fee has to be paid only through offline mode via Demand Draft. Any other mode of payment will not be accepted.

  • Application fee for 1 group- Rs. 550/- (Rs. 330/- for SC/ST)
  • Application fee for group 2- Rs. 660/- (Rs. 385/- for SC/ST)
  • Application fee for group 3- Rs. 770/- (Rs. 440/- for SC/ST)
  • Application fee for 4 group- Rs. 880/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST)

Examination Pattern

  • The examination will be held in offline mode and there will be MCQ type questions.
  • There will be total 90 questions carrying total 450 marks.
  • The applicants will have to use only blue/black ball point pen to mark their answers.

Reservation of seats

  • For ST applicants- 1%
  • For RCG (reserved category girls)- 3%
  • For BC (Backward class)- 12%
  • For SC applicants- 16%
  • For EBC (Extremely Backward Class)- 18%

Examination Syllabus

The syllabus for different courses will be different. The examination syllabus will cover various topics such as Physics, Chemistry, mathematics, General Science, Numerical ability, Hindi, English & GK.
