SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2020

SSC CGL Exam will be conducted for filling up Group “B” and Group “C” posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. Candidates who are interested in the SSC CGL examination must first satisfy the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2020 before applying it. If a candidate does not possess or fulfil the eligibility criteria, the application of that candidate will be rejected by the commission, therefore it is necessary to have fully fledged information regarding the eligibility criteria of SSC CGL. SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2020

Nationality

  • Must be the citizen of INDIA or belongs to Nepal or Bhutan
  • Individual of Indian origin who have migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African Countries of Kenya, Zaire, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Burma, Ethiopia, Vietnam & Malawi with the intention of permanently settling down in India
  • Tibetan who has already settled down before 1st January 1962 will the intention of permanently settling down in India will be eligible to apply for it.

Educational Qualification

For Junior Statistical Officer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

For Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute will be the essential qualifications.
  • Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics will be the desirable qualifications.

For all other Posts

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

Physical Standards for Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive Officer)

Gender Height Weight Chest
Male 157.5 cm 81 cm with a minimum of 5 cm expansion.
Female 152 cm Height Weight should be 48 kgs
  • The Garhwali, Assamese, Gorkhas and the Scheduled Tribes Male Candidates have been given a relaxation of 5 cm in Chest.
  • The Scheduled Tribes, Garhwali, Assamese, and Gorkhas weight age relaxation of 2 kgs in Weight has been given to the Female candidates.
  • The Garhwali, Scheduled Tribes, Assamese, and the Gorkhas Height relaxation is given to the Female candidates of 2.5 cm in Height.

Physical Test for Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive Officer)

Physical Standards for Sub-Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation)

Male The height must not be less than 165 cms A minimum of 76 cms With expansion.
Female 150 cms
  • There will be a Height relaxation for Hill and tribal candidates by 5 cm for both Male and Female candidate.

Vision for both Male and Female for SI in CBI

  • Eye-sight with or without lenses/glasses
  • Distant vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye
  • Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in another eye

Important Points of SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2020

  • For all the posts offered through SSC CGL exam, it is mandatory to be a graduate.
  • The first and minimum eligibility condition required for taking the Graduate Level Exam is Graduation.
  • Few SSC CGL Posts like that of Compiler, Statistical Investigator Grade II and Assistant (CSS) require Graduation in specific streams.
  • The Income Tax Officer Post doesn’t have any specific rules set for vision.
  • No interviews are applicable for any of the SSC CGL Posts.
  • The age of the candidate should be according to the criteria set by the commission.

  5. kar skte hai but apko show krna pdega agrretile bna k and if you crack the same automatically the whole process will take approx one year and jb tk apka reslt bhi ajaega final year ka

  12. i will be graduating this year, is i am completely eligible for ssc cgl because i heard that people who are graduating this year cannot fulfill the criterean and can be eligible only when they have degree in their hand. so i am confuse is am i eligible or not.
