AILET Application Form 2020

The application forms will be available on the official website of the university from 1st week of January 2020 to 1st week of April 2020. The applicants can fill their application online referring to the official website of the university. They have to Rs. 3000/- as application fee for general applicants (Rs. 1000/- for Sc/ST/PWD applicants). The application fee can be paid either online (through credit/debit card/net banking) or offline (cash deposit at the post office).

Eligibility Criteria

  • For B.A.LL.B (Hons.) course, the applicants should have qualified 12th standard or equivalent exam scoring minimum 50% aggregate.
  • The applicants should have aged below 21 years as on 1st July 2020 (23 years for SC/ST) for B.A.LL.B (Hons.) course.
  • For LL.M (1 year) course, the applicants must have qualified LL.B or equivalent law degree scoring 55% for general applicants (50% for Sc/ST/PWD).
  • For Ph.D. course, the applicants should have an LL.M degree or equivalent scoring minimum 55% for general applicants (50% for SC/ST/PWD).
  • The appearing applicants in the qualifying exam can also apply for AILET 2020 Application Form.

Reservation of seats

  • General applicants- 75%
  • Sc applicants- 15%
  • ST applicants- 7.5%
  • PWD applicants-2.5%

Application Fee:

  • Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode.
  • The application fee is Rs. 3000/- (for general candidates).
  • The application fee is Rs.1000/- (for SC/ST and Persons with Disability candidates).
  • Candidates can make payment through a payment gateway of net banking/credit card/debit card.
  • BPL candidates of SC/ST category are exempted from the application fee.

Steps to fill AILET Application Form

  • Visit the official link on the official website.
  • In the first step, candidates have to fill the user registration form.
  • Enter all the details carefully.
  • After login, the next page is of “Application Locker”.
  • Select the National Law University in which you want to get admission.
  • Click the “Apply” button.
  • The application form must be complete in all respect.
  • Click submit button to submit your details.
  • Pay the application fee by clicking on “Make Payment”.
  • An email regarding the successful submission of application form will be sent to the registered mail id of the candidate.
  • Candidates can take the printout of acknowledgment slip from their email.

Admission procedure

  • The applicants will get admission to different courses based on their ranks scored in the merit list.
  • For Ph.D., the applicants who have qualified UGC NET/JRF, SLET & M.Phil will be exempted from taking the admission test.
  • For B.A.LL.B (Hons.), the admission in 70 seats will be done through AILET merit list and 10 are reserved for direct admission to foreign applicants.
  • For admission in Ph.D., the applicants must have qualified the entrance exam after applicants have to make an oral presentation before the doctoral committee.

  • AILET is the entrance exam for those students who wish to take admission in UG, PG and Ph.D. Law courses.
  • The application form will be started from 1st week of January 2020.
  • You can access the AILET application form till 1st week of April 2020.

  • There is no additional charge which you have to pay.

  • For each correct answer, you will be awarded 1 mark while there is no negative marking in the examination.
