BHU Law Entrance 2022 Application form, Exam Date-LLB, LLM

BHU Law entrance examination is organized by NTA (National Testing Agency) for UG and PG law courses. Admission into UG courses will be done through BHU UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) while admissions into PG courses will be based on BHU PET (Postgraduate Entrance Test). Details about BHU Law Entrance Exam including application form, eligibility criteria, syllabus, exam dates, exam pattern, etc are in this article. BHU conducts the law entrance exam to select the candidates to offer them a bachelor’s degree in law for admission to the university campus. In the month of April 2022, the University commences the exam. Candidates can apply for the law entrance exam who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in law and can get admission in the university into the BA-LLB program.

Eligibility Criteria

LLB (Hons.) Course:

  • Students should be passed B.A. (in 10+2+3 pattern)/ B.Sc/B.Com or any other degree from a recognized university with a score of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.

B.A. LLB Course:

  • Students must complete/appear in intermediate or 10+2 examination or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in qualifying exam (45% in case of OBC and 40% in case of SC/ST).

LLM/LLM (HRDE)/LLM (Under the special course of study) Course:

  • Candidate must complete/appear 3 years or 5 years of LLB from a recognized university with minimum marks of 50% marks in LLB.

Ph.D. (Full Time) Course:

  • Students have to appear in the Common Entrance Research test (CRET) conducted by the BHU.
  • Students qualified NET/JRF are exempted from CRET.

BHU Law Entrance 2022 Application Fee

  • 600/- for Applicants belonging to the General category.
  • 300/- for reserved category candidates.
  • Applicants can pay the application fee through credit card/debit card/Challan.
  • Once the fee will be paid, it will be non-refundable.

BHU Law Entrance Exam Pattern

  • The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen-paper mode).
  • There is a total of 150 questions in the examination.
  • The question paper will be of Multiple Choice Questions.
  • The time allotted to complete the examination will be 120 minutes (2 hours).
  • The whole question paper is of 450 marks.

 Admit Card

  • From the official website of BHU students can download the BHU Law Entrance 2022 Admit Card before one week of the examination.
  • It is mandatory for the candidates to bring a valid admit card to the exam center.

 Result

  • BHU Law Entrance 2022 results will be notified by the university by online mode.
  • The result will contain the marks scored by the student.
  • A separate merit list will be prepared by the university, on the basis of marks.

BHU Law Counselling 2022

  • In the month of July 2022, the BHU Law Counselling will be held.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counseling round.
  • On the basis of merit made by the university, admission will be offered.

BHU Law Entrance Exam Syllabus

  • The syllabus for both the exam i.e. UET and PET will be different.
  • For the BHU UET Law exam, students have to study subjects such as Legal Aptitude and Mental Ability and English comprehension, General Awareness, and Current Affairs.
  • For the BHU PET Law exam, the question paper will be formed from the Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Law of Crimes, Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, Public International Law, Hindu Law, Muslim Law, and Indian Evidence Act.
