CSIR CSIO Admission 2023: Established in the year 1963, the Indo-Swiss Training Centre (ISTC) of CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO) offers admission to Diploma courses open to both Boys and Girls. The training center conducts a diploma in Die & Mould Making, Mechatronics, Electronics, and Mechanical engineering. Applicants who have passed their qualifying examination from recognized boards/schools in India can apply. Candidates will get admission on the basis of merit in the Entrance Test conducted by ISTC. Eligibility Criteria

• Passed the Matriculation or equivalent examination from any recognized school/board is required.
• Candidates should’ve passed the above qualification with Mathematics, Science, and English as subjects.
• Appeared candidates in the qualifying examination, are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates born on or after August 01, 2001 (August 01, 1998, in case of SC/ST candidates) are eligible to apply.

The application form will be available on the official website. We will also provide a direct link for filling the application form. The candidates are advised to read instructions carefully given in the Information Brochure before applying online. The non-refundable charges for the cost of the Application form are to be deposited directly online or Offline mode in the State Bank of India through a web link. The valid email id and mobile number of the applicant/parents/guardian are mandatory.

Application Fee

• The application fee for General/OBC Candidates – Rs. 1200/-
• For SC/ST Candidates, the application fee is Rs. 600/-
• Candidates can Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card.

Exam Pattern

• Entrance Test Syllabus – Questions will be of Mathematics, Science, Aptitude, English, and General Knowledge.
• The ISTC entrance examination will consist of objective multiple-choice questions.
• 25% of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The syllabus for the entrance test will be of CBSE 10th class standard or equivalent.

Selection Procedure

• The authority prepares the final merit list based on the performance/marks of the ISTC entrance exam.
• The course will be allocated to the candidate on the basis of this merit list.
• The candidates in order of merit will be called for counseling.
• Visit regularly the official website for counseling updates.
• The list of candidates called for counseling will be available on the websites.
• No separate counseling letter will be sent to the candidate for admission.
• The selected candidates have to report at ISTC at the time and date given in the counseling.
• If a candidate fails to report for admission, his/ her seat will be offered to the next eligible candidate.
