CTET 2018 Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, Application Fee

Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) is an examination for Teaching sector. CTET 2018 Application process has started from 1st August 2018. Interested candidates can apply before the given dates. Examination is conducted for two papers:

  • The Paper I is for those aspirants who intends to be a teacher in Classes I-V.
  • Paper II is for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes VI-VIII.

Aspirants who score 60 % or more in the CTET 2018 exam will be considered as TET pass. Qualifying candidates will be issued a certificate which will be valid for seven years from the date of declaration of Result.

CTET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Interested Candidates for CTET exam should fulfil the necessary eligibility conditions. The CTET Eligibility Criteria 2018 as per age and educational qualification is as:

Age Limit: There is no age limit for CTET exam.

For Primary level (I to V):

  • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE, Regulations, 2002 (Recognition Norms and Procedure). Or
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year Diploma in Elementary Education of 2- year or
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year Diploma in Education of 2- year. or
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) of 4- year. or
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year Diploma in Elementary Education of 2- year.

For Elementary level (VI to VIII):

  • Graduation with 50% marks at least and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) of 1-year. or
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year Diploma in Elementary Education of 2-year. Or
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed. of 1-year. Or
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) 1-year, in accordance with the NCTE Regulations issued from time to time in this regard (Recognition Norms and Procedure). Or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. or B.A/B.Sc.Ed of 4- year. or
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) of 4- year.

CTET 2018 Application Form and Fees

  • Remittance through E-Challan by depositing the prescribed fee in CTET
  • Fee can be submitted in the Exam Fee Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.
  • Fee also can be submitted by Debit/Credit Card.

CTET 2018 Admit Card

  • The candidates may download admit card from CTET official website.
  • Candidates will appear for the examination at the given Centre with their admit card.
  • He/she may immediately contact CTET unit for necessary corrections, in the case of any discrepancy noticed in admit card.
  • Discrepancy regarding particulars of candidate, photograph, and signature or any other information varies from confirmation page.

CTET 2018 Answer Key

  • A public notice will be issued in all leading newspapers for the answer key.
  • On CTET official website, the OMR sheet and the Answer Key of CTET examination will be displayed.
  • The Candidates can download the same in the given stipulated time.
  • By paying the fee of Rs.500/- per OMR, the Candidates can also seek a photocopy of their OMR Sheet of CTET, by way of Demand Draft.
  • Demand draft will be drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of

Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education payable at Delhi.


CTET 2018 Validity Period of Certificate

  • For all categories, the Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be 7 years from the date of declaration of its result.
  • On the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate, there is no restriction.
  • A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
  • By paying the prescribed fee by way of Demand Draft a candidate can get a duplicate copy of Marks Statement or Eligibility Certificate.
  • DD will be in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, drawn on any nationalized bank, payable at Delhi.
  • On CTET official website i.e. ctet.nic.in, the format for applying for duplicate marks statement/certificate is available.
