JEE Main Eligibility Criteria: JEE Main is one of the famous examinations in India conducted by CBSE to offer admission to eligible applicants in UG engineering courses in IITs, NITs & IIITs. JEE Main Eligibility Criteria
- Age limitation- The applicants whose date of birth is on or after 1st October 1997 (for general & OBC applicants) are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2017. For reserved categories they must have born on or after 1st October 1987. The DOB of the applicants mentioned in the 10th standard certificates will only be considered for appearing the JEE Main 2017 exam.
- Qualification eligibility- The applicants must have qualified 12th standard or equivalent in 2015 or 2016 (not before 2015) are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2017. If an applicant is appearing 12th standard or equivalent in 2017, he/she can also apply for the exam. If an applicant has appeared 12th standard or equivalent in 2015 but did qualified and he/she has again appeared in 2016 & qualified then he/she will not be eligible to apply for JEE Main 2017.
The applicants appearing in 12th standard or equivalent must have appeared for all the 5 subjects as per the rules & regulations of the concerned board. The applicants must note that for the percentile system, total marks scored in all the 5 papers of mark sheet are needed for JEE Main & JEE Advanced.
