Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) Conducts Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE), for those candidates who have interest in getting admission to various UG and PG programmes in Engineering and Technology, Architecture and Management offered by colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Eligibility Criteria

For Admission to 1st Year UPSEE Courses:

B.Tech

  • 12th/Intermediate examination with Physics & Mathematics and any one of the following: Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.
  • 45% marks in aggregate of 3 subjects (40% marks for SC/ST category candidate).

B.Tech (Agri.)

  • 12th/Intermediate examination in Agriculture Discipline.
  • Minimum marks in 12th examination should be 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in the aggregate of 3 subjects.

B.Tech (Bio-Tech)

  • 12th/Intermediate examination with Physics & Mathematics and any one of the following: Biology/Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Technical Vocational subject
  • 45% marks in aggregate of 3 subjects (40% marks for SC/ST category candidate).

B.Arch

  • 12th/Intermediate examination with Mathematics & Physics and any one of the following: Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology/Engineering Drawing /Technical Vocational subject
  • Passed intermediate examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

B.Pharm

  • 12th/Intermediate examination with Physics & Chemistry and any one of the following: Mathematics/ Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject.
  • 45% marks in aggregate of 3 subjects (40% marks for SC/ST category candidate).

MBA/MCA

  • Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration from the recognized institution.
  • In the case of MCA, candidates must have studied Mathematics either at graduation or 12th level.
  • The qualifying examination should be passed with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category).

BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MAM

  • 12th/Intermediate examination in any stream.
  • Passed/appearing 10+2 exam by securing 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category).

Eligibility For Admission to 2nd Year UPSEE Courses:

Application Fee

  • The payment of application fee will be done through credit card/debit card or net banking.
  • The application fee for Male/Transgender Candidates of General/OBC Category is Rs. 1000/-
  • The application fee for Female/SC/ST/PWD Category is Rs. 500/-
  • Service charge plus taxes will be applicable while making the payment.

UPSEE 2019 Exam Pattern

  • The examination of UPSEE will be conducted for 11 papers.
  • Exam Mode: Paper-1, Paper-2, Paper-3 and Paper-4 are the OMR based paper while rests of the papers are Computer-Based Tests (CBT).
  • All the papers are of objective type (except Drawing Aptitude Test [(Part-B of paper-4)].
  • Exam Duration: The exam is of 3 hours.
  • Candidate will receive 4 marks for each correct answer and No mark (s) will be deducted for any of the wrong response marked by the candidate.

Admit Card

  • UPSEE 2019 admit card will be available online only in the month of April 2019.
  • At the time of counseling and admission, the qualified candidates are required to produce the admit card.
  • Candidates must carry their admit card while going for the examination.
  • Admit card should be preserved till the admission process is over.

Exam Centers

The exam will commence in 75 different cities of Uttar Pradesh such as Bhopal, Jaipur, Bhagalpur (Bihar), Ranchi, Delhi, Patna, Dehradun, Chandigarh.

Result

  • The expected date of the declaration of result will be in the month of May 2019.
  • Answer key will also be declared along with the result.
  • On the basis of candidate’s performance in the UPSEE exam, separate merit list will be prepared for each course.

Cut Off

  • The cut-off percentage of marks for the merit of qualified candidates is 25%
  • The cut-off percentage of marks is 20% for candidates belonging from SC/ST category.
  • Candidates will be invited for the counselling round who will qualify the cut-off criteria.

Counselling

  • It is compulsory for the successful candidates of UPSEE to appear in counselling, to get the seat in a particular course.
  • The qualified candidates will be intimated regarding counselling through newspapers and website.
  • On candidate’s rank and availability of seats, the allotment of seats will depend.

Syllabus

  • UPSEE 2019 syllabus varies from paper to paper.
  • The examination is held for a total of 11 papers. Each paper covers subject from different areas.
  • It is difficult to write the syllabus of all the papers. However, the detailed syllabus will be provided soon.
  • The Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects typically comprising the important topics of the 11th and 12th standard.
