IGKV CET 2024 Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, Pattern

IGKV CET 2024: This entrance exam, which is conducted for applicants who want to take admission to various postgraduate courses. Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya conducts the IGKV CET exam. They can apply for the entrance exam by visiting the Official website i.e. igkvmis.cg.nic.in. Before applying candidates should make sure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as per laid by the conducting body. Before the last date, the aspirants who want to apply for IGKV CET 2024 can fill the application form. If they do not fulfill the eligibility criteria and application form will be summarily rejected.

IGKV CET 2024: Important Dates

Starts the Registration 1st week of April 2024
End date to submit the application 3rd week of April 2024
Admit Card will be available 4th week of May 2024
Exam Date 3rd week of May 2024
Declaration of the Result Last week of May 2024
Registration for Counselling 2nd week of July 2024

Eligibility criteria

For M.Sc.

  • M.Sc. (Ag). Entomology, M.Sc. (Ag). Genetics and Plant Breeding, M.Sc. (Ag). Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, M.Sc. (Ag). Agricultural Extension, M.Sc. (Ag). Plant pathology, M.Sc. (Ag). Agricultural Economics, M.Sc. (Ag). Crop Physiology, M.Sc. (Ag). Agrometeorology, M.Sc. (Ag). Agricultural Microbiology: Bachelor’s degree in science or horticulture from a recognized university under 10+2+4 with at least 60% in aggregate or six CGPA or equivalent grades.
  • M.Sc. (Ag). Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology: B.Sc. in (Ag.)/ B.Sc. (Hort)/ B.Sc. (Forestry)/ B.Sc. (Ag. Biotechnology) from a recognized university under 10+2+4 system with a minimum of 6 CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate.
  • M.Sc. (Ag). Agronomy: Bachelors in science stream in Agriculture under the 10+2+4 system with a minimum of six CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
  • M.Sc. (Ag). Agricultural Statistics: Graduate level in Horticulture or Agriculture from a recognized university with at least 6 CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate under 10+2+4. Those who have passed 12th class with maths are also eligible.
  • M.Sc. (Forestry): Bachelors in science stream or Forestry under 10+2+4 from a recognized university with six CGPA out of 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate.
  • M.Sc. (Hort.) Vegetable Science, M.Sc. (Hort.) Fruit Science, M.Sc. (Hort.) Landscape & Floriculture: B.Sc. in (Ag.)/(Hort.) under 10+2+4 with 6 CGPA out of 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

For M.Tech. and MBA

  • M.Tech (Agril. Engg.) Soil and Water Engineering: B. Tech (Agril. Engg.)/B.Sc (Agril. Engg.)/B.E (Agril. Engg.)/B. Tech (Civil Engg.)/B.Sc (Civil Engg.)/B.E (Civil Engg.) from a recognized university with six CGPA out of 10-point scale or 60% marks in aggregate under 10+2+4 system.
  • M.Tech (Agril. Engg.), Farm Machinery and Power Engineering: B. Tech (Agril. Engg.)/B.Sc (Agril. Engg.)/B.E (Agril. Engg.)/B. Tech (Mechanical Engg.)
  • M.Tech (Agril. Engg.), Agricultural Processing and Food Engineering: B. Tech (Agril. Engg.)/B.Sc (Agril. Engg.)/B.E (Agril. Engg.)/B. Tech (Chemical Engg.)/B.Tech (Dairy Technology)/B.Tech (Food Engineering) under the 10+2+4 system with at least 6 CGPA out of 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
  • MBA (Agri-Business Management): B.Sc. in (Ag.)/(Hort.) with minimum 6 CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university under 10+2+4.

IGKV CET 2024: Application Form

To appear for the entrance test Candidates must be filled the Application form for IGKV CET 2024. They can visit the university website to apply. The link to apply for the IGKV CET is also provided on the official website. Before the last date of submission, Candidates should make sure that they fill and submit the Application form. They will not be allowed to submit the Application form of IGKV CET 2024 in offline mode. Eligible they will be filled in personal information and academics. Candidates also uploaded their scanned copies of recent photographs and signatures matching the specifications on the official brochure.

Application fee

  • For the unreserved categories and OBC, the application fee Rs. 400/-.
  • For Candidates belonging to SC/ST of Chhattisgarh: they will be required to pay Rs. 100/-

Exam Pattern

  • Candidates should first check the exam pattern to prepare accordingly for the exam to start the preparation for IGKV CET.
  • It is a pen paper-based test and IGKV CET will be an offline exam.
  • In the entrance test, 100 questions will be asked to the candidates.
  • 3 Hours (180 minutes) is the total duration of the exam.

Counselling

Students can also check on the official website for more details regarding Counselling. Only the applicants who are in the merit list can participate in counselling. Before applying they will have to submit an online counselling form, which will be available on the university website. Without the counselling process, they cannot take admission to the course. In order of merit, Counselling will be held. With higher rank Candidates will be preferred for admission.
