NDA 2020: NDA Application process is going to start on 10th June 2020. To recruit candidates in the Army, Navy and Air Force, UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts a national level entrance test called UPSC NDA/NA examination. It is a two-tier examination, after qualifying the written test candidates will also have to clear the SSB interview round. Candidates, who want to make their career in the field of defense services, candidates can apply, those who full fill eligibility criteria. This exam is conducted two times in a year. NDA 2020 Important Dates

For NDA II:

Notification Release date 10th June 2020
Submission of application ends 30th June 2020
Release of Admit card 1 or 2 weeks before the exam
Exam date 6th September 2020
Declaration of result November 2020

Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
  • Other nationality factors also included.
  • Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA.
  • Candidates must undertake not to marry until they finish their complete training.

Age

  • Born between 2nd July 2001 to 1st July 2004, for NDA I.
  • Born between 2nd January 2002 to 1st January 2005, for NDA II.

For Air Force & Naval of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:

  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with physics and mathematics subjects.

For Army Wing of NDA:

  • Qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

Physical Standards:

  • Candidates have to be physically fit as per the physical standards notified by the officials.
  • The candidate will not be eligible to apply who have resigned/withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the training academies of Armed Forces.
  • The candidate should not be overweight or obese.
  • There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or underweight.
  • The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms.
  • The minimum acceptable height for Air Force is 162.5 cms.

NDA 2020 Application Form

The application form will be released in the third week of January (for NDA I) and the application form will be released in the first week of June (for NDA II). UPSC will provide the application form through online mode. The registration form comprises two parts, i.e. Part I and Part II. Candidates will have to provide their general details in Part I. Selecting the exam, paying the application fee and uploading the scanned images of photograph and signature will come in Part II. The images of the photograph (3KB – 40KB) and signature (1KB – 40KB) size should be in JPG format. After the final submission of the application form, no correction facility will be provided. There is no need to send the printout of the application form to the UPSC.

Application Fee

  • The application fee will be Rs. 100/-.
  • Candidates will have to pay the application fee through debit/credit card and SBI net banking or through challan of SBI bank.
  • SC/ST candidates, Sons of JCOs, NCOs & Ors are exempted from the payment of application fee.

Selection Process

  • Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the written exam will be invited for the SSB interview.
  • SSB will be conducted for four to five days.
  • Candidates who successfully qualified SSB round will further be called for medical test and document verification process.

Exam Pattern

  • There will be objective type questions asked in the examination.
  • The exam will be conducted in the pen and paper-based mode.
  • The question paper will be asked in the OMR pattern.
  • There will be two exams with Code 1 (Mathematics) and Code 2 (General ability test).
  • The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi languages.
  • The duration of the examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • Candidates will use a black ball pen to mark their answers.
  • Do not use Ink pen or pencil.
  • The medium of the exam will be set bilingually in English as well as Hindi.
  • For Math’s, 0.83 marks, for English, 1.33 and for GK 1.33 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.

SSB Interview

  • The candidates will be shortlisted for the personality & intelligence interview, on the basis of the prepared merit list.
  • The successful candidates will be intimated regarding the allocation of Selection Centers and dates of SSB interviews on the email ID.
  • In the first stage of SSB, the Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) will be conducted.
  • On the second stage the Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and Conference will be conducted.
  • After all rounds, the final selected candidates will be informed of their selection on the spot.
  • After the completion of the interview round, the candidates have to submit the original certificates.

Cut Off

  • The cut off will be the minimum marks needed by the candidates to qualify the written test or interview.
  • UPSC publishes cut off on the official website after the examination.
  • Within a week after the declaration of result, candidates will be able to check the cut-off.

  4. I am 19 year old. And i want to join indian army but i can not fit in age limit. can i eligible for nda examinations. there is age relaxation for nda exam. Plz sir replay me
