SBI SO 2023: Recruitment of Specialist Cadre Officers Notification Released

State Bank of India is an Indian multinational, public sector banking and financial services company with its headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra. SBI has been providing its services in India as one of the biggest banking recruitment authority. This bank as one of the biggest recruiter of probationary officers and special officers as compared to other banks in India and this is known to all bank job seekers. SBI will release the notification for the Recruitment of Specialist Cadre Officers very soon.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only Citizens of India are eligible to apply.
  • OCI and NRIs cannot apply for the exam.
  • Age of an applicant should be between 21 to 30 years depending upon the Post.
  • The maximum age of an applicant can be in between 30-40 years.

Educational Qualification

For Developer, Test Lead and Tester post:

  • Graduated in engineering from a government recognized university/institute with having some experience in IT sector.

For Manager and Assistant Manager (Technician) post:

  • A full-time PG Degree in Econometrics/ Statistics/ Applied Statistics required with 4/1 years of minimum experience is required for this job position.

For Technology Relationship Manager (Tech.RMs) post:

  • Graduate in Engineering from any recognized University /Institution required with minimum 8 years of experience in IT Industry/ Business.
  • Preference is given to the contenders with MBA qualification.

For Assistant Manager (System) post:

  • Applicants must own a B.E/B. Tech in Information Technology/ Computer Application/Computer Science/ Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation / Electronics & Telecommunications/Electronics & Communications.
  • Applicant should have some experience in computer programming from a reputed organization.

SBI SO 2023 Selection Procedure

The selection of candidates will be on the basis of

  • Online written test and
  • Interview/group discussion.

Interview/ Group Discussion:

  • An adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be called for Interview/Group Discussion.
  • Conduct of Group Discussion may be waived at the discretion of Bank.
  • Group Discussion will carry 20 marks and Interview 30 marks.
  • The interview will carry 50 marks if Group Discussion is not held.
  • The qualifying marks in Interview/ Group Discussion will be as decided by the Bank.

SBI SO 2023 Admit Card

  • By entering the registration number and password/date of birth, from the Bank’s website, the candidates should download their call letter and an “acquaint yourself” booklet.
  • Candidates note that no hard copy of the call letter/ acquaint yourself booklet will be sent by post.
  • Intimation/call letter for interview will be sent by email or will be uploaded on Bank’s website.
  • The candidates must bring one photo identity proof in original as well as a self-attested Photocopy.
  • The ID Proof can be any one of the following such as Passport/Aadhar/ PAN Card/Driving License/Voter’s Card/Identity Card issued by Institute of Chartered Account.

Exam Center

The test may be held at Bhopal, Raipur, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bangalore, Jammu, Srinagar, Chennai, New Delhi/Delhi NCR, Madurai, Kolkata/Greater Kolkata, Lucknow, Varanasi, Patna, Ranchi, Mumbai/ Greater Mumbai/Thane/Navi Mumbai, Guwahati, Hyderabad/Secunderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Nagpur, Pune, Dehradun, Jaipur, Ernakulam & Trivandrum centres.

Merit List

  • Marks secured by the candidates in Group Discussion / Interview out of 50 marks will be converted to out of 25 marks. The final merit list will be arrived at after aggregating the marks of Professional Knowledge test out of 100 marks and the converted marks secured in Group Discussion/ Interview out of 25 marks (Total- 125 marks). The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category

SBI Specialist Cadre Officer 2023: Important Points

  • When the fee is deposited with the Bank through Online mode, the process of Registration of application is completed then only.
  • Candidates are advised to ensure before applying, that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for the post as on the date of eligibility.
  • Admission to online test will be purely provisional without verification of documents.
  • Candidature will be subject to verification of details/documents when the candidate reports for Interview/Group Discussion if called.
  • If the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria (In case the candidate is called for interview/Group Discussion) he/she will neither be allowed to appear for the interview/group discussion.
  • Such candidate will also not be entitled to reimbursement of any travelling expenses etc.
  • No intimation/ call letter will be sent in hard copy.
