OSSTET 2024: Odisha TET Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Dates

If you want to teach in Odisha’s public schools, you must take the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET). On behalf of the State of Odisha, the Board of Secondary Education of Odisha organizes the OSSTET.  Applicants can fill out the online application at www.bseodisha.ac.in and pay the money using SBI Pay. Eligibility Criteria

Paper-I (Category A)

Candidates who meet any of the following Odisha TET 2024 selection criteria for Category-A (Paper-I) are eligible:

  • Class 12th should be cleared with at least 50% and for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates the percentage is 45%. A two-year diploma in Elementary Education should also be possessed by the Applicants
  • Class 12th should be cleared with at least 45% and for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates the percentage is 40%. A two-year diploma in Elementary Education should also be possessed by the Applicants which should be according to the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
  • Class 12th should be cleared with at least 50% and for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates the percentage is 45%. Also, a four-year diploma in BElEd should be possessed by the Applicants.
  • Class 12th should be cleared with at least 50% and for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates the percentage is 45%. Also, a two-year diploma in special education should be possessed by the Applicants.
  • Graduation should be done by the candidates in any stream. Also, a two-year diploma in Elementary Education/ Special Education should be possessed by the Applicants.

Paper-II (Category B)

Candidates who meet one or both of the following requirements meet the eligibility requirements for Category-B (Paper-II):

  • Class 12th should be cleared with at least 50% and for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates the percentage is 45%. Also, a one-year course in Bachelor in Education (BEd) should be passed by the Applicants.
  • Class 12th should be cleared with at least 45% and for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates the percentage is 40%. Also, a one-year BEd course should be passed by the Applicants which should be according to the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations that are issued.
  • Class 12th should be cleared with at least 50% and for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates the percentage is 45%. Also, a one-year course in BEd (Special Education) should be passed by the Applicants.
  • Class 12th should be cleared with at least 50% and for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates the percentage is 45%. Also, A four-year BA Ed/ BSc Ed course should be passed by the Applicants.

Important Note: Candidates who fulfill the qualifying requirements for OSSTET in Category B (Paper-II) are not qualified to participate in Category A. (Paper-I).

Odisha TET 2024: Exam Process

The OSSTET examination process is divided into many stages. Take a note of the following stages:

Stage I: Notification

The issuance of the notification starts off with the Odisha TET 2024 examination procedure. Applicants are informed well about the registration procedure, suitability, selection criteria, crucial deadlines, examination pattern and curriculum, and other information in the announcement.

Stage II: OSSTET 2024 Application Procedure

Following the publication of the announcement, the BSE Odisha commences the Odisha TET Registration Process. Applicants who wish to take the OTET test in 2024 must first sign up and register online.  Applicants must pay a fee to fill out the registration form is Rs.500 for General/Other Category and Rs. 300 for SC/ST Category. Applicants should meticulously fill in the details, as data provided by candidates cannot be altered at a later time.

Stage II: Admit Card Issuance

The Odisha TET Admit Card 2024 will be available on the BSE Odisha’s official website. Applicants should go to bseodisha.ac.in to get their Odisha TET Admit Card. The following information will be on the OTET admission card:

  • Name of the Candidate
  • Roll no. of the Candidate
  • Name of Father
  • Name of Mother
  • Date & Time of the Exam
  • Exam Location Address
  • Photo of the Candidate
  • Signature of the Candidate
  • Examination Instructions

Stage IV: Appearing Exam

Candidates who want to register for the OSSTET 2024 must first take the OTET test. Paper-I and Paper-II are the two papers that make up the test. Paper, I is for instructors in grades I through V, while Paper II is for teachers in grades VI through VIII. These papers are kept in separate locations. Applicants can choose to take either Paper I or Paper II, or even both. The Odisha TET 2024 test date will be revealed soon.

OSSTET 2024: Admit Card

Candidates will be able to obtain their individual admit cards in January 2024. They must verify all guidelines on their admission card and immediately notify the authorities if there are any discrepancies. After the issuance of the relevant notice, we’ll update this page with a direct link to get you to admit card.

OSSTET 2024: Result

Applicants will be able to view their results on the official web page of the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, most likely around February 2024. You won’t have to travel around to go to your results page because the direct link will be updated here alone.
