Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be an Indian national.
- Candidate can appear for the exam any number of times.
- There is no age limit to appear for the exam.
Criteria 1
- A Bachelor’s (UGC/AICTE recognized) degree of minimum 3 years duration except for BBA with Mathematics at graduate or 10+2 level with 50% and 45% for reserved category candidates.
Criteria 2
- A Bachelor’s degree (UGC recognized) or BCA-AICTE recognized with an aggregate of 60% for general and 45% for SC/ST category in Mathematics.
- The same percentage criteria are required in 10, 10+2 level and Mathematics.
Criteria 3
- Any Graduate degree recognized by UGC or AICTE recognized B.E/ B.Tech/ BCA degree.
- Candidates also have Mathematics at each level with 60% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/OBC).
Criteria 4
- Sc degree recognized by in any discipline with 60% aggregate (45% for reserved category) and 55% aggregate in Mathematics.
- Aspirants must also secure 60% marks in 10, 10+2 level and Mathematics at each level.
Application Fee
- The Application fee for WB JECA 2022 will be INR 500/- for candidates of all categories.
- Candidates can pay the application fee online using Netbanking/ Debit card/ Credit card.
WB JECA 2022 Exam Pattern
- It is a three-hour-long computer-based test.
- The exam comprises of two papers – Mathematics and Aptitude based test.
Paper – 1: Mathematics
- The duration of this paper will be for two hours.
- This paper will be of 100 marks.
- Students would be required to answer 100 MCQs online.
- 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Paper – 2: Aptitude test
- This Part will be 50 questions of 1 mark each.
- 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- All questions will be MCQ type.
- The duration of this paper will be for one hour.

Counseling
- The qualified candidates must appear for the Counselling.
- The counseling will be conducted by the respective institutes after the declaration of the merit list.
- Aspirants must attend the counseling session in order of merit and rank.
- Candidates should be present in person.
- The seat will be offered to the next eligible candidate if the aspirant remains absent.
- Applicants should also bring the necessary documents for verification.

- Algebra: Complex number, determinates, empty set, subsets, Venn diagram, matrices, the summation of signal series, the addition of vectors, scalar, and vector products, in the equation, sets of elements, universal set, union and intersection of sets, De Moiver’s theorem, solution of linear equation, complements, algebra of sets, finite sets, class of sets, partitions, cross product, group, ring, and fields.
- Analytical Geometry: Cartesian and polar coordinate, ellipse, parabola, hyperbola, translation, straight line, circle, and rotation of axes.
- Probability and Statics: Permutation, combination, mean, median, mode, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, probability, probability distribution.
- Calculus: Limit, continuity, Taylor and Maclaurin’s, series, definite and indefinite integrals, first Ana, second-order, differential, maxima and minima, differential, equation, functions of several, variables, partial differentials.
