WB JELET 2024: WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board) conducts Lateral Engineering Test every year in the state of West Bengal. WB JELET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For Engineering and Pharmacy examinations, the eligibility criteria differ on the age and educational background. However, the remaining criteria of eligibility for admission to each programme are the same.

Nationality:

An applicant who is a Indian citizen can take part in this exam.

Age Limit:

In order to take up this entrance exam, there is no age limit. However, the maximum age limit for the BSc candidates is 27 years  as of December 31, 2024, and 25 years for Diploma in Marine Engineering candidates.

Education Criteria:

a.) Pharmacy: Those candidates who possess a Diploma in Pharmacy along with 45% minimum marks from an AICTE-approved institution (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD).

b.) Engineering / Technology: A Diploma in Engineering/ Technology from an AICTE-approved institution is required. Besides this, candidates need to attain a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD). Aspirants who have studied mathematics as their primary subject in Class 12th are eligible.

Academic Qualification:

Candidates holding a BE or B.Sc. degree applying for admission to Engineering or Technology courses should have passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject, as well as a BE/ B.Sc. with 45% minimum marks from a UGC accredited university.
Those having diploma in Engineering, Technology or Pharmacy who wish to register for degree programmes via the entrance exam must have attained 45% from an AICTE-accredited Pharmacy Institute/ Polytechnic Institute.

WB JELET 2024 Application Form

  • Candidates will get the online application form most likely in the month of January.
  • The form will be available only in an online mode on the official website of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.

Applicants are required to make the payment of Rs.500/- for General category and Rs 400 for those who falls under the category of SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B candidates, plus the Bank’s service charges as applicable. The mode of application fee payment consists of credit card, debit card or net banking. Refund of fee won’t be entertained by the conducting body.
