XLRI (Xavier Institute of Labor Relation) organize Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT 2019) on behalf of XAMI (Xavier Association of Management Institutes) is a university-level examination for admission to more than 50 B-Schools in India. XAT is being organized by XLRI for more than 60 years at all India level and is meant for admission to management courses. Read the article below carefully to read the details about XAT 2019.

XAT 2019 Application Form Details

Candidates are required to apply online for XAT 2019 examination. To apply for XLRI and XAT related Institutions, XAT registration is the first step. Candidates should register by creating their account after login to the website. This provides the candidates with XAT ID and password. All the personal details to be fill in the application form like qualification, contact no. address are required at the appropriate place. Candidate should upload scanned image of photograph and signature in the application form. The application fee can be paid online or offline.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree Recognized by the MHRD/UPSC/AICTE At least 50% (45% for SC, ST and PWD candidates)
Students who are pursuing the final year of bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification examination and can also apply Recognized by MHRD/ UPSC/ AICTE/ UGC

Application Fee

  • The application fee is Rs. 1600.00 only.
  • Applicants who are interested in XLRI programs have to pay an additional Rs.300.00 each.
  • The fee can be paid online through Credit Card/Debit Card or net banking.
  • For cash payment, the candidates are required to take a print out of XAT Pay-In-Slip and pay at the nearest IDBI Bank.

XAT 2019 Exam Pattern

  • The examination will be held in online mode.
  • The examination is divided in two parts – paper 1and paper 2.
  • There will be 72 questions from paper 1.
  • Paper 1 will comprise of Decision Making (24 questions), Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (27 questions) and Verbal and Logical Ability (21 questions).
  • For paper 1, 170 minutes time will be allowed and for paper 2, 35 minutes time will be allowed.
  • There will be 25 questions and one essay topic from paper 2.
  • Paper 2 will have 25 questions from General knowledge and Essay – one topic.

XAT 2019 Admit Card

  • Candidates can download their admit card via online mode.
  • It will be released in the third week of December 2017.
  • Admit card contains various details like personal details, time, exam date, exam centre.
  • The admit card will have important instructions regarding the exam, so read them carefully.
  • It is mandatory to bring the admit card at the examination hall.

Result

  • Candidates can access their result via online mode through the website.
  • To check the result, candidates are needed to enter their roll number & other required details.
  • After releasing the result, candidates can go for the further process of counselling.

Syllabus

  • The syllabus comprises of various topics like Verbal Ability, Decision Making and Analytical Reasoning, General Knowledge, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation.
  • There is no fixed syllabus as such for XAT but questions shall be asked from the above-mentioned topics.

XAT 2019: Important Points

  • The candidates are required to gather the details about the complete syllabus prescribed for the examination.
  • All topics of the syllabus must be covered.
  • A timetable should be made for preparation and new topics should not be tried at the last moment.
  • The previous year question papers and sample questions should be attempted.
  • The best XAT books and study materials should be used for preparation.
