SSC Stenographer 2024: SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission for recruiting the candidates having good stenography skills. It is an all India entrance exam. SSC Stenographer 2021 Grade C & D Application Form

SSC Stenographer Application form will be available via Online mode. Candidates need to register at the official website. Applicants will have to fill all the necessary information and personal details in the application form. Candidates will have to upload the scanned photo and signature, after filling all the personal and educational details in the application form.

Eligibility Criteria

• Those who are between 18-27 years as on 1st August 2024 can appear in the exam.
• Those who have completed their class 12th or some equivalent degree from a well-known university and recognized institute can appear in this competitive exam.

Application Fee

• Applicants can make payments through Net Banking or Debit/Credit card.
• General male candidates have to pay Rs.100/- only as an application fee to complete the application process.
• All female candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the application fee.

Exam Pattern

• The exam will consist of two stages i.e. Written Examination followed by Skill Test/Stenography Test.
• The written exam will be divided into three parts as Part 1, 2 and 3 as General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension respectively.
• Part-I and Part-II will consist of 50 questions each while Part-III will contain 100 questions.
• The duration of the written exam will be 2.00 hours.
• Each question will carry one mark.
• The question paper will be objective type containing 200 questions.
• Negative marking is applicable and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The question paper will be set in both Hindi and English language except Part-III.
• The candidate who will qualify the written exam will be called for Skill Test/Stenography Test.

SSC Stenographer 2024 Admit Card

The candidate can avail the same by accessing the official website only. The SSC will issue the admit card to the eligible candidates before the examination. The Commission will not send any hard copy of the admit card by post. Necessary information in this regard will be updated at the appropriate time.

Result

Candidates have to check the regular updates on http://ssconline.nic.in. After one or two months from completion of the Skill Test, the result will be announced. The list of successful candidates will be uploaded in the official website.

Selection Process

• On the basis of their performance in written examination, selection of candidates will be made.
• The successful candidate will be shortlisted and called for appearing in Skill Test/Stenography Test.
• Those who qualify the skill test will be considered for final selection.

Syllabus

• General Awareness: Based on important dates of celebration, current events, book’s author name, important sports days, history, general polity, the economy of India, scientific research, economic sense and Indian constitution, current affairs, newspapers, etc.
• General Intelligence & Reasoning: Verbal and nonverbal type questions, problem-solving analysis, arithmetical reasoning, syllogism, number series, blood relationship concept, visual memory, and much more.
• English Language and Comprehension: English language, synonyms, antonyms, grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, reading comprehension, etc. In the English language sections, writing ability also will be checked.
