Exam Pattern and Syllabus

  • Candidates are advised to prepare according to the exam pattern and syllabus given below.
  • The written test consists of two papers having Objective type and Descriptive type questions.
  • Paper 1 consists of questions from English Comprehension, General Awareness/General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mathematical Ability, etc.
  • Paper 2 is a subjective paper which consists of Precis, Comprehension and Essay Writing.
  • The candidate has to write an essay of not more than 400 words.
  • The paper should be completed in 30 minutes.
  • The candidates who pass the written round can go for the other rounds.
  • The topics are Emergency Trends in India, Security Threats in India or Cultural Diversity of India, for Essay writing.

  • Duration: The total time for both the exams is 1 hour and 40 minutes.
  • Interview: This is the second and last round. The candidates who have passed the written test round are eligible for the interview round.

Mathematical Ability: Numbers, HCF and LCM, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Time and Work, Average, Trains and Boats, Mensuration, Ratios, Mixtures and Allegations, Profit and Loss, Probability, Statistical problems

Reasoning: Figure matching (Verbal and Non-Verbal), Pattern Matching, Odd Man Out, Analytical Problems, Blood Relations, Missing Letters, Observation, Statements and Conclusions

General Awareness/ Knowledge: Current Affairs, Current news – National and International, World Events, Political news, Events of National Importance, Indian History, Economy, Weather, Climate

English Comprehension: The questions in this section are asked to analyze the overall knowledge of English possessed by the candidate.

Descriptive test: The Descriptive test consists of English Language Writing Skills. In this section, it is expected that students may be asked to write an Essay, Letter of any given theme or topic.
