Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)releases the notification of Specialist Officer (SO) to recruit the eligible candidates for various public sector banks in India. The IBPS came into existence in 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS) and serves as the recruitment agency for the banking personnel of all banks except the State bank of India. The graduate candidates can apply for the SO examination and can make their careers in the banking sector. The examination will be in two tiers i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, Online Preliminary and Online Main. Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates need to be a citizen of India A subject of Nepal or Bhutan or A Tibetan refugee.
- The minimum age of the applicant must be 20 years and the maximum age must be 30 years.
- The candidates of the reserved category will be given relaxation at the upper age.
- The general educational qualification of the applicants is graduation from any recognized Institute.
- Age Limit: The age limit will be Min- 20 Years and Max-30 Years.

- Four years of engineering/Technology degree in Computer Science/IT/Computer Application/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electronics and Telecommunication/ Electronics and Instrumentation OR

IBPS SO 2024 Application Form
The Application Form for the SO recruitment will be available on the official website of IBPS. Applicants will have to fill in all the necessary information and personal details in the application form. Candidates will have to upload the scanned photo and signature, after filling in all the personal and educational details in the application form. There will be a fee to pay to complete the application form. Candidates should take a printout of the filled application form for further use.
Application Fee
- Candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs. 600.
- The application fee for the applicants of the reserved category will be 100.
Selection Procedure
- There will be a written examination and the pattern will be different for each post.
- The questions in the exam will be from Professional knowledge (knowledge of the respective field of the Specialist officer), Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and General English.
- After qualifying for the written examination, candidates will be called to appear for the interview.
