PPSC 2023 Civil Services Application Form, Exam Date, Vacancies, Pattern

PPSC 2023: For the various administrative posts in different departments of the state government, the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) recruits the candidates. The PPSC conducts the examination in various processes and there is a specific eligibility criterion to take part in the examination process. Candidates can either apply for the post of deputy collector or can join the police department as DSP. Eligibility Criteria

For Civil Judge

  • Degree of Bachelor of Law of any University incorporated by Law in India or a Degree of Bachelor of Law of Punjab University (undivided) or other prescribed university.
  • The Candidates must have passed Punjabi matriculation or its equivalent.
  • The age of the candidate should be between 21 to 37 Years.

For Civil Services Post

  • Candidates need to be the citizen of India, Bhutan or Nepal.
  • The age of the applicants must be between 21 to 37 years.
  • Candidates must have attained the age of 28 years for the post of Deputy Superintendent Police in the Punjab Police Service.
  • The applicants must have completed the graduation from any recognized institute.

Physical standards for the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police:

PPSC 2023 Application Form

Applicants will provide all the details in the application form such as the name, address, and details of the educational qualification, and also will upload the scanned photo and signature in the application form. There will be an application fee for the application fee. Candidates can apply the application fee thru a Credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Documents required submitting the application form

  • Degree Certificate.
  • Detail Marks Card of all years/ Semesters.
  • Proof of having passed the Punjabi
  • Proof of Date of Birth Certificate of Matriculation/Higher Secondary.
  • Reserve Category Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (If Applicable)
  • Certificate as proof of age relaxation claim. (If Applicable)
  • Proof of being Govt. Employee. ( If Applicable)
  • If ESM. (Date of Enrolment and Date of release/discharge)
  • Bank Draft.

Application Fee for Civil Judge

  • The fee for SC/ ST of all States and Backward Classes of Punjab – Rs. 500/- (Online Application charges) + Rs. 625/- (Examination Fee)
  • All Other Categories (including Lineal Descendant of Ex-servicemen, Punjab) – Rs. 500/- (Online Application charges) + Rs. 2500/- (Examination Fee)
  • Physically Handicapped, Punjab – Rs. 500/- (Online Application charges) + Rs. 1250/- (Examination Fee)
    Ex-Servicemen of Punjab – Rs. 500/- for Online Application charges only

Exam Pattern

Preliminary Examination

  • It will consist of two papers.
  • Paper-I General Studies and Paper –II Civil Services Aptitude Test.
  • Candidates equal to thirteen times the total number of vacancies may qualify for the Main Competitive Examination.
  • All candidates are required to appear in both papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II of the Preliminary Competitive Examination are compulsory (including Ex-servicemen candidates).
  • The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.

Main Examination

  • Written examination and a viva voce (interview) test will consist of the main examination.
  • This is intended to assess the overall intellectual traits and depth of understanding of candidates rather than merely the range of their information and memory.
  • The main competitive examination shall include compulsory and optional subjects.

For Male Candidates

Task For Male Candidates
Race 1600 meters race: To be completed within 07 minutes 30 seconds (only one attempt)
Long Jump Minimum 3.60 meters (Three attempts only)
High Jump Minimum 1.15 meters (Three attempts only)
Vertical Rope 2.0 Meters climb from the ground (Three attempts only)

For Female Candidates

Task For Female Candidates
Race 800 meters race: To be completed within 04 minutes 45 seconds (only one attempt)
Long Jump Minimum 3.00 meters (Three attempts only)
High Jump Minimum 1.00 meter (Three attempts only)
Shuttle Running between two parallel lines 10 meters apart, five times in 20 seconds (one attempt only)

PPSC 2023 Admit Card

  • The admit card will be available on the official website of PPSC.
  • Candidates can download and take the printout of the admit card.
  • There will be separate admit cards for the Pre and Main examination.
  • It is important to take Admit Card with you while going to the examination center.
  • The admit card will have the details of the examination such as date, timing and the venue of exam.
  • The candidate will not be allowed to give the exam, without the admit card.

PPSC 2023 Result

  • Candidates will get the result on the official website.
  • The result of the examination will be announced respectively.
  • The Pre exam result will be announced first.
  • Those, who qualify the pre-examination, will be eligible to appear in the main examination.
  • After the commencement of the main written exam and the interview, candidates will get the result of the main examination.
