WBCS 2023: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) publishes the official notification every year. If a candidate has completed graduation from any recognized institute or university can apply for the examination. Qualified candidates will be appointed to the various posts of administrative departments of West Bengal like deputy collector, DSP, or on other various posts in the revenue and other services. WBCS 2023 Application Form

The Application Form will be available on the official website. Before filling the WBCS Application Form, candidates must read the instruction carefully. Candidates will have to fill in all the required info such as the name, address, and other communication details such as phone number and valid email ID. Candidates also need to upload the scanned photo & signature on the application form, pay the application fee thru credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • The age of the applicants should be between 21 years to 32 years.
  • The candidates of reserved categories will get 3 years of relaxation in the upper age.
  • Candidate must have completed the graduation or any other equivalent three years’ degree from a recognized institute.

Application Fees

  • For General, BC candidates the application fee is Rs.215/- for Online Payment and Rs.230/- for Offline payment.
  • The SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (PWD) having a physical disability of 40% and above are exempted from paying any fee

Stages of Selection Procedure

The Selection Process consists of these four stages:

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination
  • Personality Test
  • Medical Examination

Selection Process

  • The selection process includes – a written exam and a personality test.
  • The written examination will be conducted in two stages – Preliminary and Mains examinations
  • Candidates will be invited to appear in the main exam, after qualifying for the pre-exam.
  • The main exam will be of a descriptive nature.
  • The last part of the selection process will be the interview and after qualifying it, candidates will be finally selected for the posts.

WBCS 2023 Admit Card

  • There will be separate admit cards for the separate level of examination.
  • Candidates will be able to download the admit card for the pre-examination first.
  • It is important to take the Admit Card with you while going to the examination center.
  • The candidate will not be allowed to give the exam, without the admit card.

WBCS 2023 Result

  • The result will be announced thru the official website.
  • Candidates will get the result of the examination separately viz. Prelims, Mains, an interview.
  • The commission will announce the final year result after the interview is conducted.

  1. The Main exam is not of 100 marks, but of 200 marks each. Paper III is not Gk. Paper 3 comprises of History with special reference to Indian National Movement and Geography of India with special reference to Geography of West Bengal and likewise as you have written in after the table. The Total marks for Main Exam is 1200 for Group C&D and 1600 for Group A&B.
