The aspirants of MP Jail Prahari Recruitment 2023 must go through the eligibility criteria given below before proceeding with the application form.
Nationality:
- The applicant must be an Indian National or a subject of Sikkim.
- Besides this, those who belong to India originally migrated back here from Pakistan for permanent settlement (with a State Govt. approved certificate of eligibility in their favor). So, this certificate of eligibility for these candidates will be considered valid only for a year starting from the date of his appointment. Once this eligibility period is over, the candidate will remain in that position only if still lives in India.
- Similarly, an Indian or a Nepali of French or Portuguese origin have to present the State Govt. approved eligibility certificate in their favor.
However, in the following cases, the certificate of eligibility will not be required, if:

- The candidate migrated to India from Pakistan on 19 July 1948, and are residing here since then.
- Also, those who shifted to India from Pakistan before 18 July 1948 and registered their names as Indian Nationals.
- Besides these, the non-citizens as mentioned in points (2) and (3) who started working as Govt. officials before 26 January 1950 are still working in such service since then.
- Similarly, those who are not permanent citizens of MP are also eligible only for vacant posts as unreserved/open category candidates. However, such applicants are not eligible to take benefits of reservation or age relaxation.
Age Limit for Applying
- The male applicants must be between 18 to 33 years of age.
- However, for women and SC/ST/OBC candidates, the age must be between 18 to 38 years.
Educational Qualification: The applicants must have completed High School under the 10+2 education system.
Physical Standards
