TPSC stands for Tripura Public Service Commission formed in 1972 under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. It is situated at the Old Assembly House of Tripura, Akhaura Road, Agartala. TPSC Recruitment 2023 will announce vacancies in various government sectors like Director, Blind Educator (Group C), Foreman (Group B), Technical Assistant (Group B), etc.

TPSC Eligibility Criteria

Following are the eligibility criteria specified for the TPSC 2023 Recruitment which the applicant must fulfill to appear in the examination.

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Also, there is a fixed age limit ranging between 21 to 4o years for the eligible applicants.
  • However, a relaxation of five years is given in the upper age limit to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH and government officials.
  • Lastly, the applicant must also possess a degree from a recognized university.

TPSC 2023 Application form

The aspirants of TPSC 2023 recruitment have to fill an online application form following the given steps:

  • Visit the official website of TPSC.
  • Click on the Online Application tab and enter the login details.
  • Alternatively, if you are applying for the first time, tap on the new user button.
  • So, provide a user name, valid Email ID, and mobile no.
  • Later, click on the generate OTP button.
  • Then, providing the DOB and password, tap on “Create User” to create your profile.
  • Thereafter, go to the home page, and log in providing the user name and password.
  • Further, click on the online application button which will display all the available advertisements.
  • Click on apply online link.
  • So, it will open the application form on the screen.
  • Provide all the asked details in the form and submit it.
  • Lastly, submit the application fee via debit/credit card or net banking option.

Application Fee: The application fee for TPSC Recruitment 2023 examination will be Rs 100. However, women/SC/ST/PwD/ESM candidates are not subjected to pay any application fee.

TPSC 2023 Examination Pattern

There will be three stages in conducting the TPSC Recruitment 2023 Exam which includes:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination
  3. Interview

Preliminary Exam

It consists of one paper 0f General Studies. It will contain 200 Objective Type Questions only of 1 mark each. Hence, the prelim exam will be a total of 200 marks.

Main Exam

It will be a subjective type paper. So, the subjects included in the main exam of TPSC Recruitment 2023 are:

    • English Essay & Precis writing
    • English Composition
    • Bengali Composition and Translation or Alternative English
    • General Knowledge & Current Affairs
    • The Constitution of India and The Five Years Plan

Optional Paper: Also, there will be an optional paper as well, where the candidates have to select three papers of their choice from the list given below:

Personal Interview

The last stage for the TPSC 2023 will be the personal interview, where the candidate is evaluated beyond the written exam. So, the intellectual ability, interest in current affairs, critical analysis to make judgments, leadership qualities, moral integrity, etc. are evaluated by a panel of experts.

    • The main examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes long
    • Further, the main exam will be presented in English or Bengali.
    •  Also, it will be an offline paper conducted in the pen-and-paper pattern.
    • Overall, the main exam will be 800 marks in which MCQs, short answer type questions, and subjective questions will be included.

TPSC 2023 Recruitment Result

Once the TPSC Recruitment 2023 examination will be conducted successfully, the result will be declared online on the official website, i.e. https://tpsc.tripura.gov.in. So the candidates have to follow these given steps to check the result online:

  • Visit the official website of TPSC.
  • Go to the “Examination result” header and then click on the “Written examination/Screening Tests” link.
  • Further, the result log-in page will be displayed on the screen.
  • So, proceed further by providing the log-in credentials.
  • Thereafter, click on the Submit” button.
  • The result will finally appear on the screen.
  • Lastly, take a printout of the result for future references.

NOTE: The cut-off marks for the TPSC recruitment vary based on the candidate’s category. Because it will be specified for each category depending on certain factors. It includes the total number of appearing candidates in the exam, no. of vacancies,  Exam difficulty. marking scheme, cut-off marks of the previous year, etc.
