Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must have completed the graduation or any other equivalent three years degree from a recognized University.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali
  • The lower age limit should be 21 years,
  • The Upper age limit should be 36 years for Group A, B & C, and 39 years for Group D
  • Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to the SC, ST, OBC, Physically Handicapped (PH), Ex-serviceman Govt Employees (Central and States) candidates.
  • Age will be calculated on the 1st of January of the year of the Exam.

For PHARMACIST GRADE-III / PHARMACIST-CUM-SALESMAN-GRADE-III

  • Passed Higher Secondary Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology and a two-year Diploma Course in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal and registered as ‘A’ category Pharmacist under West Bengal Pharmacy Council.
  • The age of the candidates should not be more than 39 years on 01.01.2021 with relaxation as per Govt.

WBCS 2024 Application Form

Candidates can fill the application form online by logging in to the official website which is www.pscwbonline.gov.in. Candidates will be required to register with the recruiter. Instruction for registration and online fee payment has been given in their help section. Candidates will also be required to upload your photograph and signature for completing registration. If you have any queries or doubt regarding the registration process you can contact WBPSC’s helpline or toll-free number.

Application Fee

  • The application fee for General Candidates will be Rs 210 + Bank charges.
  • There will be no application fee for SC ST Candidates.
  • Examination Fees can be submitted either online or by the offline method.
  • A challan has to be generated within the last date of application form fill up, for the offline method.

Selection Procedure

The examination consists of two parts:

  1. Written Examination and
  2. Personality Test.

Written Examination will be held in two successive stages, viz.,

  1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) and
  2. Main Examination (Both Objective and Conventional Type).

  • The paper will be of an objective type consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions.
  • The paper will carry 200 marks.
  • The exam will be of 2½ hours duration.

Main Examination

  • The Main Examination shall consist of six compulsory papers and one optional subject consisting of two papers.
  • There will be two papers on the optional subject of 200 marks each.
  • Each paper will carry 200 marks and will be of 3 hours duration.
  • A number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Preliminary Examination will be allowed admission to the Main Examination.

  1. Yes u can apply….. U don’t need to give any exam in bengali but at the time of interview they will definitely check your bengali reading or may be writing skill as you’ll be posted in west bengal….so better start practicing
