Eligibility Criteria
UG/PG/Research Courses
- BA, B.Com, B.Music, BFA, B.Sc, BA (Hons.): A candidate shall have passed Higher Secondary School/ Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognized Board in the respective discipline of admission.
- MA, M.Com, M.Music, MFA, MSW, MA-IRPM: Candidates who have cleared 3 years undergraduate degree course in the respective discipline of admission are eligible to apply.
- B.PEd: Candidates should have done graduation with 55% (SC/ST candidates are given 5% relaxation) with Physical Education as a subject are eligible to apply
- M.PEd: For admissions in the M.PEd course only those candidates who have done B.PEd or equivalent with at least 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates).
- M.Ed: For admissions in the M.Ed course the candidates should have done BA-B.Ed, B.Sc-B.Ed, BELED, DELED, with at least 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates).
- LLB: For admissions in the LLB course the candidates should have done graduation in any discipline with at least 45% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates).
- M.Phil.: Candidate should have done PG in the respective discipline of admission with 55% marks. (50% for SC/ST)
Diploma Courses
- Social works (HRD): Graduation with 45%
- Stage Art (Diploma in Stage/Singing): PG in Psychology/Social Works with 50%

Reservation Details
- Reservation of 21%, 2%, and 27% are given to SC, ST, and OBC respectively.
- 20% of seats are reserved for the women candidates.
- 5% is provided to dependents of Retired Army personnel and J&K migrants.
- 2% reservation is provided to dependents of Freedom fighters.
- A horizontal reservation of 3% is provided to PWD candidates.
- The benefit of reservation will be provided to candidates of UP domicile only.
MGKVP Admission 2024: Application Form
Candidates should apply online by visiting the University website. The application fees for the UG courses is INR 500/-. The fee for the PG/UG Diploma courses, PG and M.Phil Courses is INR 600/-. The fee would be less for reserved candidates.
Selection Process
- BA, B.Com, B.Music, BFA, B.Sc, BA (Hons.): Admission is done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their marks in the entrance.
- MA, M.Com, M.Music, MFA, MSW, MA-IRPM, B.PEd, M.PEd, M.Ed, LLB, Diploma Courses, M.Phil.: Based on the entrance exam conducted by the University.

MGKVP Admission 2024: Important Points
- You can pay the MGKVP application fee online through Net banking, a credit/debit card.
- Once the MGKVP application form is submitted, you cannot edit or correct the application form.
- Admission to PG programs will be done on the basis of the entrance exam conducted by the university.
- To get into a PG course at MGKVP, students would need a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Students have to register on the website of the university.
- In each UG & PG program, 20% of the seats are reserved for women candidates. 21% of the seats are reserved for SC students whereas 2% of the seats are allocated to ST students.
- The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in BA is passing the Higher Secondary Exam with at least 50% aggregate marks.
