Important Notes
- All candidates are advised to read the Prospectus carefully before filling out the online admission form. The information of the Prospectus will be implemented according to the Acts, Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, and the decision of the Board of Management of Schools, Jamia Millia Islamia.
- Applications for admission to Class Nursery, Prep, I, VI, IX, and XI are accepted online mode only.
- Applicability of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 in Minority Institutions
Eligibility Criteria
- For admission to school, the candidate must have passed the previous class from a recognized board.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India and should have all the basic documents.
- For class 9th the candidate should have passed class 8th examination with an Aggregate of 41% in all subjects and in English too.
- For those who want to take admission in a class, 11th must have passed last year with an aggregate of 41% or grade C2.
- The minimum eligibility qualification for the foreign students/NRI wards will be the same as for Indian Nationals.
- For Admission to prep. And class 1, the date of the birth certificate should be issued by the Gram Panchayat and attested by the block development officer/ Tehsildar or concerned authority.
- For admission to classes 2nd to 5th, the Birth certificate issued by the previous school will be validated.
- The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in the case of differently-abled children by the principal.
- Students including employees’ ward who have passed in any class of Syed Abid Hussain Sr. Sec. The school (primary section) is required to complete its admission formalities according to the admission schedule.

Jamia School Admission Process
- The application form will be submitted through offline mode for prep. And class 1 admission.
- The application form for the classes 6th, 9th, and 11th will be available online. Candidates can fill out the application form online mode. Candidates can be made online payments through credit card /Debit card/Net banking.
- The Prospectus cum Admission form may be obtained from MAKTABA JAMIA LIMITED on cash payment of Rs.250/- or may be downloaded from the Jamia website jmi.ac.in.
- The downloaded application should accompany a demand draft of Rs. 300/- in favor of Registrar, Jamia Milia Islamia, payable in New Delhi.
- The Duly filled-in offline application form may be submitted by hand at the designated counters or through registered or speed post to the “Principal, Syed Abid Husain Senior Secondary School, Jamia Milia Islamia, Jamia Nagar, Delhi-110025, and India”.
- Admission to class Prep and Class 1 will be made through the draw of lots.
- Application forms completed in all respects for admission to classes Prep. And 1st should reach the concerned school on or before the last date.
- Only those candidates whose names appear in the list of selected/ waitlisted candidates shall be considered for admission provided they fully fill all eligibility conditions.

- Certificate of the claimed category of reservations.
- Duly filled and signed the self-declaration form.
