AP PGECET 2024: Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, Kakinada (JNTU) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) conducts the AP PGECET. It is a State-Level Examination stands for Andhra Pradesh Post-Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET). This exam provides admission to Postgraduate programs in the field of Engineering, Technology, and Pharmacy. Candidates can also apply for admission through national level exams like GATE/GPAT. Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be Indian Nationals.
  • They should have permanent residency in Andhra Pradesh state.
  • Applicants should meet the local /non-local status requirements specified for admissions. or
  • The candidates should have lived in the state for a substantial period of time.
  • For Engineering programs: Passed B.E. / B. Tech in a related subject area from a recognized University.
  • 50% or more will be required in the qualifying examination (45% in case of Reserved Category Candidates).
  • For Pharmacy programs: Passed B. Pharma from a recognized University.
  • A minimum of 55% or more in the qualifying examination is required (50% in case of Reserved Category Candidates).
  • Candidates having a valid GATE or GPAT score are not required to apply for AP PGECET 2024.

  • Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode via debit/credit card or net banking.
  • The application fee can also be paid via offline mode at the AP online centers.
  • Take the fee receipt from AP online centers.

Exam Pattern

  • The mode of the examination would be the Computer Based Test.
  • There will be Objective type questions (MCQs).
  • A maximum of 120 questions will be asked in all the papers.
  • The duration of the exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • The question paper contains questions in English medium only.
  • Each question carries one mark.
  • There is no provision of negative marking.

AP PGECET 2024 Counseling

Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the candidates’ merit and scores secured in the exam. The authority publishes the notification for the counselling in the newspaper and website. Counselling will be completed in various steps. The counselling process involves document verification, locking candidates’ choices for the seat allotment process. Download the allotment order and report to the allotted college through a self-reporting system. Seat allotment according to the candidate’s preference and merit will be done. The candidate’s final allotment of the seat will be available on the website.

  • Chemical Engineering: Fluid Mechanics and Mechanical Operations, Process Calculations and Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Mass Transfer.
  • Engineering Mathematics: Probability and Statistics, Numerical Methods, Differential Equations.

Aerospace Engineering

  • Numerical Methods: Atmosphere, Static Stability, Dynamic Stability, Airplane Performance.
  • Engineering Mathematics: Differential Calculus, Numerical methods, Linear Algebra.
  • Aerodynamics: Air Foils and Wings, Wind Tunnel Testing, Basic Fluid Mechanics, Structural Dynamics.
  • Space Dynamics: Determination of Trajectory and Orbital Period in Simple Cases, Orbit Transfer.

Nano Technology

  • Engineering Mechanics & Strength of Materials: Simple Stresses and Strains, Stresses on Inclined Plane, Principal Stress and Principal Planes, Torsional vibration, Mohr’s Circle, Types of Loads, 2 -Dimensional Stress Systems, Torsional Vibration, Shearing Force and Bending Moment.
