Eligibility Criteria
For Category I (Lower Primary)
- Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and two years Trained Teachers’Certificate (TTC) conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent. OR the same exam with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
- Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002. OR the same exam with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- As per the norms or as desired by the Govt. of Kerala the relaxation will be given to different categories.
- Relaxation of 3% in qualifying marks is admissible for OBC & OEC candidates.
- Relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks is admissible for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Differently abled categories.
For Category II (Upper Primary)
- B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com. and 2year Diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent. OR
- B.A/B.Sc/ B.Com with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition, Norms, and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed or the same exam with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
- Relaxation of 3% in the minimum qualifying marks is admissible for OBC & OEC candidates.
- Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST and Differently abled categories.
For Category III (High School)
- Those who possess minimum educational qualifications as delineated hereunder are eligible to appear for K-TET III.
- The test is for HSAs in Tamil, Kannada, Arabic, Urdu, Social Science, Physical Science, Malayalam, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Natural Science, and Mathematics.
- BA/BSc/B.Com with at least 45% marks and a B.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned (from any one of the Universities in Kerala or from any other Universities recognized as equivalent thereto.)
- For Botany and Zoology subjects, those with MSc.Ed. Degree in Life Science from any of the Regional Institutes of Education with not less than 50% marks are eligible to apply.
- For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, those who have MSc.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned from one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT with not less than 50% marks will be eligible to apply.
KTET 2023 Application Form
Candidates can fill the application form from the official website. Open the link on the official website and read out the details. Fill all the required information in the application form accurately. Upload all the copies of the certificates as required in the form. Upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature. Pay the application fees accordingly. Submit the form and print it out for the proof. Keep the print with you until the whole process is not over.

Result
- A person who scores 60% or more in the KTET 2023 exam will be considered as TET pass.
- School management may consider giving concessions to persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently-abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
- Should give weightage to the TET scores in the recruitment process
- However, qualifying the TET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one for an appointment.
Selection Procedure of KTET 2023
- The participants’ selection process will be done based on the performance of the KTET Entrance Exam conducted by the Kerala State Government.
- They will be shortlisted by marks scored in the Entrance Exam. Participants also have to go for the Final Round Personal Interview
Certificate Validity
There will be no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a KTET Certificate. The Validity Period of KTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be subject to a maximum of seven years and decided by the appropriate Government for all categories. A person who has qualified KTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
