RRB ALP 2024: Each year, Railway Recruitment board (RRB) conducts recruitment process for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) in the railway department. The exam is popularly known as the RRB ALP 2024 exam. RRB ALP 2024 Eligibility Criteria

It is essential for the entrants to meet all the eligibility conditions before applying for the RRB ALP 2024 Exam. Ineligible candidates will not be able to apply in the later stages of the recruitment process. The section below mentions the eligibility criteria for RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 :

Nationality

Candidates with the Indian nationality are eligible to apply for RRB ALP recruitment 2024.

Age Criteria

Upper age and the lower age limit is as under:

  • Upper Age – 28 Years
  • Lower Age – 18 Years

Applicants for ALP and Technician will also get relaxations in age:

  • OBC: 3 Years
  • SC/ ST: 5 Years
  • PWD: General 10 Years
  • PWD: OBC 13 Years
  • PWD: SC 15 Years
  • PWD: ST 15 Years

Educational Requirement:

  • ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot)- An individual who has passed his/ her matriculation/ SSCL along with any apprentice course/ ITI/ Degree or diploma in engineering will be able to apply.
  • Technician- Entrant who has completed his/ her matriculation/ any apprentice course/ SSCL along with ITI/ 12th with Physics and Mathematics / Diploma in Engineering, can apply too.

RRB ALP 2024 Application Form

  • Go to the main web page of the Railway Recruitment Board under which you aspire for recruitment.
  • To complete the registration, provide information such as Name, Date of Birth, Address, Aadhar Number, 10th details, Parent’s Name, Mobile Number, and Email Id.
  • Review the application form and confirm the entered details.
  • Provide each and every detail including academic qualification, gender, community, reservation details and more.
  • Make the payment of the application fee depending upon which category you belong to.
  • After that upload all the scanned copies of your documents, including a photograph, scribe photograph, and SC/ ST certificate in the mentioned specifications.

CBT Stage 1

Paper-II (CBT 2)

RRB ALP Exam Paper 2 includes two parts: Part-A and Part-B. There will be a total of 175 questions in the paper-II, in which 100 questions will be from Part-A while remaining 75 questions will be from Part-B.

Exam Pattern

CBAT (paper-III)

  • The last stage of the RRB ALP Recruitment Exam 2024 is the Computer-based Aptitude Test (CBAT).
  • Aspirants applying for ALP posts will have to take this test only.
  • The language will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.
  • Only those candidates who clear the Paper- II will able to appear for this exam.
  • No provision of negative marks will be there in the last stage.

Results

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will publish the results for all the exam stages individually. Entrants passing a stage are eligible to take part in the subsequent stage of the RRB ALP recruitment process. The outcome for the same will be available in an online mode. Candidates can simply access their from the website of Railway Recruitment Board. After qualifying each stage, candidate has to participate in document verification as well as a vacancy in a particular post.
