CSIR NET Application Form 2021: The National Testing Agency releases the CSIR NET Application Form on behalf of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research for determining eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship. It organizes a single Joint CSIR UGC NET exam twice in a year (June and December) for the Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment for Lecturer. Eligibility Criteria

Nationality and Age Limit

  • Candidates must be Indian nationals.
  • The upper age limit prescribed for JRF should be 28 years.
  • For the candidates belonging to different categories, relaxation will be provided to them.
  • There is no upper age limit for Lectureship.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates who have completed the four-year BS program or hold a BE/B. Tech/B. Pharma/Integrated BS-MS/MBBS/BSc (Hons)/M.Sc. or equivalent degree or students enrolled in the Integrated MS-PhD program or Equivalent degree/B.Sc (Hons) with at least 55% marks for General & OBC-NCL candidates are eligible to apply (50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually handicapped candidates).
  • Candidates enrolled for M.Sc. or have just completed 10+2+3 years of any of the above qualifying examinations are also eligible under the Result Awaited (RA) category, however, such candidates will have to complete the qualifying degree with the requisite percentage of marks within the period of two years, In order to avail the fellowship.
  • To avail the CSIR fellowship only, candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree, in Science, Engineering or any other discipline will be eligible after he/she has got himself/herself enrolled for a Ph.D./Integrated Ph.D. program within the given validity of 2 years.

Steps to fill CSIR UGC NET Application Form 2021?

Instructions for filling Online Application Form: Download Information Bulletin and Replica of Application Form. Read these carefully to ensure
your eligibility.

Follow the steps given below to Apply Online

  • Step-1: Apply for Online Registration using unique Email Id and Mobile No.
  • Step-2: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application No.
  • Step-3: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s Photograph (file size: 10 kb – 200 kb) and Candidate’s Signature (file size: 4kb – 30kb) in JPG/JPEG format.
  • Step-4: Pay the fee using SBI/Syndicate/HDFC/ICICI/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI and keep proof of fee paid. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is canceled, and the amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.
  • Step5: Download, save, and print copies of the Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee and keep copies safely for future reference.

How to Choose the stream while applying?

  • You can apply either for ‘JRF’ or for ‘Lectureship (LS) only’.
  • You will have to indicate preference in the Online Application.
  • Depending on the number of fellowships available & performance in the test, subject to the condition that they fulfill the laid down eligibility criterion, CSIR may consider candidates for ‘JRF’, or ‘Lectureship only”.
  • The subject which the candidate will appear for will also have to mention in the Application Form.

Application Fee

Candidates will have to deposit the examination fee at any branch of the Indian Bank all over the country. The amount of the fee is:

  • 1000/- For General category candidates
  • 500/- For OBC-NCL category candidates
  • 250/- For SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped (PH) or Visually Handicapped (VH ) candidates

Exam Pattern

  • The Test will consist of three parts.
  • The Test will be in a total of five subjects viz., Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Earth, Physical Sciences Chemical Sciences, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences.
  • The duration of the examination will be 3 hours without a break.
  • It will consist of a single Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type paper comprising of 200 marks.
  • The exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) only.
  • There will be a deduction of the marks for wrong answers as per the subject wise scheme of the exam.

CSIR NET Application Form 2021: Important Points

  • A candidate should submit only one application. If a candidate submits more than one application, only the latter/last application will be considered.
  • The candidate shall appear at their own cost at the Examination Centre on Date and Shift indicated on their
    Admit Card issued by the NTA.
  • The authority shall not consider any request to change the Examination Centre, Date, Shift, and NET Subject provided on the Admit Card under any circumstances.
  • The candidate can make no request for a refund of the fee under any circumstances.
  • The entire application process of CSIR-UGC NET December 2021 is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees, and Printing of Confirmation Page.
  • There is no need to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation Page to NTA through Post/ Fax/ by Hand/E-mail.

    And read in MSc physics Ist year…. (2nd Sem) my Ist sem exams have been conducted…. But results will come till May…
    Will I be served as eligible after clear the net or jrf test of June 2017
