CTET 2024: NTA will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) as per the guidelines laid down by The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. CTET 2024: Important Dates

Online Submission of application starts from 1st week of February 2024
Online Submission of application ends on 1st week of March 2024
Last date for payment of a fee 2nd week of March 2024
Period for Online Corrections in Particulars 3rd week of March 2024
The final status of the application 4th week of March 2024
Download Admit Card In the month of June 2024
Date of Examination 1st week of July 2024

Eligibility Criteria

Primary Level

Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of

  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • 2-year Diploma in Education. OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Upper Primary Level

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of

  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • 1-year B.Ed.

Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of

  • 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • 4 years of B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR

CTET 2024: important Points

  • The CBSE conducts the CTET examination twice in a year in July and December.
  • There will be no negative marking in the CTET 2019 exam.
  • The Validity Period of CTET Certificate is of 7 years from the date of declaration of result.
  • There is no limit on the number of attempts for appearing in the CTET exam.
  • There will be two papers; Paper I and Paper II for CTET exam.
  • The CTET Question Paper will be bilingual – Hindi or English.
