KARTET 2023: For the candidates who want to become a teacher, in departments of School Education, the Government of Karnataka organizes KARTET (Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test). The authority organizes this examination in two phases; one for those who are willing to be the Primary teacher (Class 1-5) and others who are participating as the Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6-8). Eligibility Criteria
Paper-I For Primary Teacher (class 1-5)
PUC / Senior Secondary Examination (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary Examination (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year or 4th year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary Examination (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
Graduate Degree holder with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Paper-II: For Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6-8th)
Graduate Degree holder with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
OR
Graduate Degree holder with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary Examination (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

NOTE: Relaxation of up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC / ST / C-I / Differently-abled.
Steps to fill KARTET 2023 Application Form

- Read all the instructions displayed on the website very carefully.
- Register yourself on the registration page.
- After the successful completion of the registration procedure login credentials will be sent on your registered email ID.
- By using the same login information applicants can access and fill up the admission form.
- Enter all the basic required information in the form very carefully.
- Upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature.
- Applicants have to pay a certain amount of fee, for successful submission of the admission form.
- Verify the information provided in the form and strike on the submit button.
- Take a copy of the printout of the confirmation page for your safe side.

KARTET 2023 Admit Card
Approx 15 days before the commencement of the examination, the authority will release the admit card online only. No electronic devices will be permitted in the examination hall. The applicants should carry the hard copy of the admit card to the examination center. The Admit card will have the following contents: Name, Roll no, Date of Birth, Date & timings, Venue with the complete address and Instructions to be followed during the examination.
