Eligibility Criteria
- Students must have passed/continuing Class/Std. fifth from any recognized Institution for admission into Class-VI of the OAV.
- Those students who belong to the respective block but passing/continuing Class V in a school other than the home block is eligible to apply provided he has to produce the residential certificate.
- Students who pass out of schools running under State Govt/ICSE/CBSE/Odia Medium Private Institutions are eligible for taking admission in Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas.

OAVS Admission Application Process
- Students are advised to visit the official website of OAVS or the below link.
- On the home page, you need to find the Admission tab press on to apply the online link.
- You need to find” Regular Entry (Class VI)” under the Application Form Section.
- Press on the link.
- The new page of your Application form will download to your device.
- In the end, take a printout of the Application Form.

Exam Pattern
- The entrance exam would consist of one paper with objective-type questions
- Paper consists of subjects like Maths, Science, Social Science, and English of Class-V, the standard for entrance test of Class-VI.
- Questions would be asked in the languages of English & Odia script only and will be of two hours duration.
- There will be a total of fifty-two no. of questions which consist of one mark each per question.

OAVS Admission Process
Admission to classes VI shall be done in 250 OAVs opened to date through an entrance test
OAVS shall invite applications from the eligible students for admission into Adarsha Vidyalayas for class VI for the year 2024-23.
Documents required
- Certificate in support of date of birth.
- Class in which students read from the concerned Head Master of the school.
- Residential official document from concerned Sarpanch/ Councilor/ Corporator/ Competent authority.
- After the conduct of the entrance exam, the answer papers will be appraised by a team of subject teachers under the direct supervision of the DEO/Principal.
After the conduct of the Test, the Common Mark List of all students shall be published on the district website.
