UPSC CISF AC (Exe) LDCE 2023: The examination for UPSC CISF AC (Exe) LDCE is organized by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to shortlist eligible candidates as Assistant Commandants. The applying candidates must be a graduate from a recognized university to be Assistant Commandants. There will be various stages in the recruitment process like written examination, physical efficiency test, medical test, and interview session. UPSC CISF AC (Exe) LDCE 2023: Important Dates

Submission of the Application form begins from 30 November 2022
The application form ends on 20 December 2022
Release of the Admit Card March 2023
Exam date 12 March 2023

Eligibility Criteria

  • The age of the applying candidates must not exceed 35 years on August 01, 2023.
  • The interested candidates, should not be born before August 02, 1986.
  • For the candidates who belong to SC/ST category, the age relaxation of a maximum of 05 years is given.
  • Candidates should have a graduation degree from a recognized university to apply for this recruitment.
  • A candidate can make three attempts for this exam.
  • Having NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be counted as the desirable qualification during the personality test, interview round only.
  • The candidate should have completed 04 years, up to 01 January 2023 in regular service.
  • It must be holding the Inspector(GD)/Sub. Inspector (GD) ranks with basic training and having a clean record of service.

UPSC CISF AC LDCE 2023 Application Form

To fill the application form, candidates have to visit the official website of UPSC. Register before you start the process of filling the application form. Fill the application form correctly and send the hard copy of it, to the official address. Candidates have to ensure that they fill it correctly while filling the application form. There will be no changes allowed to make further.

Exam Pattern

Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence and Professional Skill

  • The duration of the exam will be 150minutes
  • There will be Multiple Choice Question Type
  • The number of questions will be 150 of 300 marks
  • The test will be bilingual hence held in English and Hindi language

Paper-II: Essay, Precis Writing, and Comprehension

  • The Total Marks will be 100
  • The medium of Précis Writing and Comprehension Components remains English only.
  • Else, the candidates can choose the medium of answering between English or Hindi in the Essay Component
  • The duration of this exam will be 02 hours

Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Efficiency Test

  • This test is qualifying in nature but the candidate will be disqualified if failed in any of these tests.
  • After qualifying for the written exam, there will be a physical efficiency test and medical efficiency test.
  • Candidates, who are able to qualify for the physical test can only take part in the Medical efficiency test.
  • The qualifying candidates of both, physical as well as medical tests are called for Personality Test/Interview.

Personal Interview

  • UPSC conducts the interview/personality test to know the understanding and awareness of the candidates.
  • The interview round will be of 200 marks.
  • The questions asked in this round will be based on the field they belong to, as well as on their general interest.

  • Comprises of General Science, General awareness, General mental ability, Current events of national and international importance

P1/PB: Professional Skill

  • CISF related professional skills: VIP Security, Bomb disposal, Aviation Security, Perimeter Security, Disaster Management, Industrial Security, Industrial Safety and fire fighting, Internal Security, and Election duties. , Crime and Intelligence-Espionage, Sabotage, Subversion, Security of vital installations-DAE, Metro Rail, Space, Use of Technical Gadgets-Alarm, detection, intrusion, Access control, fire safety
  • Law: Human Rights, Cr.PC (Search, Seizure and unlawful assembly), Evidence Act (Search, seizure & collection of evidence), IPC (Theft, mischief, breach of trust, corruption, etc.), Labour Laws (Industrial Disputes Act, Workmen Compensation Act, EPF Act.), Other Criminal Offenses
  • Computer Skills and Awareness: Computer Security, Basic computer operations, Basic hardware and software
  • Service Rules and HR matters: CCA Rules, CISF Act and Rules, HR functions related to CISF

P2: Essay, Précis Writing and Comprehension

  • It is a descriptive type test to test how well candidates are able to express their ideas, through the topics present in the question paper, by ensuring that language is correct and does not have any spelling errors.

UPSC CISF AC LDCE 2023: Important Points

  • Candidates can check the recruitment events in upsc.gov.in and cisf.gov.in.
  • The various number of vacancies is released for Assistant Commandants (Executive).
  • Selected candidates have to take part in the Physical Endurance Test (PET). After PET, candidates are shortlisted for the interview round.
