WBTET 2020

WBTET 2020: West Bengal Board of Primary Education conducts WBTET examination for the recruitment of teachers. WBTET 2020 is for two subcategories of teachers, one for those who are applying for the primary school teachers and other category is for Upper Primary Teachers.  Candidates who are interested must apply before the last date. This article is having the Syllabus and the Exam Pattern which can help candidates to prepare accordingly. The exam will have two Papers, Paper 1 for Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5) and Paper 2 for Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6th to 8th). Candidates can choose any one or both Papers.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Upper age limit for WB TET 2020 is 35 years while the minimum age is 18 years.
• Candidate must have domicile of Maharashtra to get benefit in seat matrix.

For Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5):

• Candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks in the Intermediate exam.
• Candidate must have completed B.EL.ED or studying in the final year.
• Candidate must have completed or in the final year of D.Ed (Specialization) in an institute recognized by RCI.
• Candidate must have completed or in the final year of BTC/passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
• Candidates who have completed their graduation.

For Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6th to 8th):

• Candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks in the Intermediate exam.
• Candidate must have completed B.EL.ED or studying in the final year.
• A candidate who is in the final year of B.Ed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
• A candidate who is in the final year of L.T. in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
• A candidate who is in the final year of B.Ed in an institute affiliated to RCI.

WBTET 2020 Application Form

The mode of application for WB TET 2020 is online. Candidate must visit the official website of the authority, www.wbbepe.org. Generate log in Id and password. Fill the application in the format asked to do. In the next step, you must provide educational details such as passed examinations and obtained marks. Now, in the next step candidate must upload scanned images of signature, photographs, left thumb impression in the given format. Next step asks to fill the category of applicant. Fill category from which you belong to. Enter no, if you do not belong to the reserved category. Next step is for the payment of the fee. Pay the application fee as of your category. After submitting all details, recheck all details, if satisfied, click on the submit button.

WBTET 2020 Application Fee

• The application fee for the general category students is Rs. 100.
• The application fee for reserved category candidates is Rs. 25.
• Candidate can pay the fee by any of online method.

Exam Pattern

• WB TET 2020 exam will be conducted in offline mode.
• There will two papers; one for those who are applying for the primary teacher (1 to class 5^th) and others will be for those who are applying for the teacher for class 6^th to 8^th.
• The question paper will be of objective type.
• There is no provision of negative marking in WBTET 2020.
• Each question will be of 1 mark.

WBTET 2020 Admit Card

• Candidates can download admit card of WBTET 2020 from the official website of Authority.
• Admit card will be issued to candidates 15 days before the commencement of the examination.
• Candidates are required to print a copy of Admit card.
• Admit card will contain details like Roll number, personal details of the candidate like name, Father Name, Date of Examination, Timing, and venue of Examination.
• Admit card is the mandatory document and must be carried on the day of examination.
• No candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall without a valid admit card.

• Mathematics: Numbers, Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Shapes and Spatial Understanding.
• Child Development Pedagogy: Child development, Understanding children with special needs, the concept of Inclusive Education and Learning Pedagogy.
• Language 1: Comprehension based question and concept for language development.
• Language 2 (English): Comprehension based question in English and Development of language.
• Environmental Studies: Air, Water, Parts of Body, Habitats, Natural Resources, Solar system, Food resources, and Care.
