The West Bengal State Council for Vocational Training is the respective authority that conducts West Bengal ITI a common entrance exam for admission into the ITI admission program. West Bengal ITI Merit List
Council conducted a common entrance test for admission of suitable candidates to ITI programs in the state. Candidates (group E and M) wait for the result for both the groups i.e. E and M will over today. Group E includes 5 engineering trades in which admission is done on the basis of class 8th result through an entrance test. On the other hand, Group M includes around 46 engineering and non-engineering trades in which admission is granted on the basis of class 10th qualification. Merit list for Group E trades is prepared on the basis of the Common Entrance Test (CET). Merit list for Group M trades is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in Madhyamik (class 10th) or equivalent. No exam was conducted for this group.
Tie Breaking Criteria
The marks of two more candidates in Madhyamik or the equivalent following rule will be used to determine the merit of the candidates in the order of priority.
- After checking the date of the candidates. The older candidate will be preferred.
- Total marks obtained in mathematics.
- Total marks obtained in Science.
Steps to Check West Bengal ITI Merit List
- Candidates visit the official website of the council.
- After that click on the ITI option.
- Search the relevant merit list option (group e and group m) on the official website.
- Now the merit list will appear.
- Find the name and other information on the list.
- The last candidate downloads the merit list for further reference.
- Name of the candidates (probably in the order of merit), Registration no, roll number (for group E), Gender, Father’s Name, Date of birth, Category, Marks obtained (for Group E), Total marks percentage, Rank, Other relevant information.
