Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates can check the previous year’s eligibility for getting the idea of admission norms before filling up the application form for GIPE B.Sc Entrance Exam. With a required aggregated percentage, the candidates must be qualified in 10+2 examination. The application form will be rejected normally if the candidate will not found eligible for the entrance test in any circumstances.
  • For admission to the B. Sc. (Economics) Program: candidates must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate (50% marks for SC/ST category candidates. as per Government directions, the Institute will follow the relaxation rules in their 12th Standard board examination or equivalent examination.

  • For General category: The amount to be paid by the candidates is Rs. 3000/

Exam Pattern

  • Total Duration- 120 minutes
  • The language of the question paper- English language
  • In the exam, a total of 100 questions will be asked.
  • The question paper will be Multiple Choice Based.

  • There will be a negative marking in the exam and the 1/4th mark will be deducted from the wrong answer.

Section A

  • Descriptive Statistics: Measures of dispersion Correlation, Measures of Central Tendency- and Regression Coefficient – Probability Theory- Index Numbers.
  • Mathematics for economics – Matrix Algebra, Calculus, Algebra.

Section B

  • For Analytical Ability and Reasoning – statements, coding-decoding, and odd one out conclusions, series, analogies, blood relations, Linear sequencing, seating arrangement, directional senses.

Section C

  • Microeconomics (Price and Income Elasticity of Demand, Demand Curves, Cost Curves, Equilibrium of the Firm under different market structures).
  • Macroeconomics (National Income, Theory of Income Determination, Fiscal and Monetary Policy, Trade and Balance of Payments).
