The National PG College was founded in 1974 by Late Chandra Bhanu Gupta, formerly the Chief Minister of the State.  The college, which is located on the shores of the Gomti River in the town’s center, has a beautiful green environment and is bordered by a variety of important educational and governmental establishments.

National PG College has been the only institution with the top rank of CPE (College with Potential for Excellence) and Self-governing Status in a metropolis with 16 universities and even more than 150 graduate institutions. Undergraduate and postgraduate studies are available in the Humanities and Commerce departments, as well as undergraduate courses in the Technology and IT fields.

B.Com. Passed in Commerce or with Maths/Economics as a core subject with minimum 55% marks (aggregate) 12th.
B.Sc. Passed in Science stream with minimum 50% marks (aggregate) in 12th.
BBA, BJMC 12th Passed in any Stream with minimum 50% marks (aggregate).
B.C.A. 12th Passed in any Stream with minimum 50% marks (aggregate) with mathematics/computer as core subjects.
B.Com.(Hons.) 12th Passed in any Stream with minimum 60% marks (aggregate)with either Commerce, Economics, or Mathematics as core subjects.
B.Voc. (Software Development & E-Governance) 12th Passed in any Stream with minimum 50% (aggregate).
B.Voc. (Banking & Finance) 12th Passed in any Stream with minimum 55% (aggregate).
M.Com. Passed in Commerce with minimum 50% required at UG Level.
M.A. Passed with minimum 50% required at UG Level.
M.Voc. (Banking, Stock & Insurance) Passed with minimum 55% required at UG Level with B.Voc.-B&F or B.Sc.(Mathematics) or B.Com.
M.Voc. (Software & e-Governance) Passed with minimum 60% required at UG Level with B.Voc.-SD&G or B.sc.(Mathematics) orB.Tech (CS/IT).

National PG College Admission Procedure

Prior to completing out the application form, applicants for admission to the institution should read the brochure attentively. Attached must be self-attested copies of the following documents:

  • Xerox Copy of Certificate of completion and mark sheets for the Xth and XIIth grades, or corresponding exams.
  • If the applicant completed his or her qualifying test in 2023 or earlier, documented evidence must be provided stating that – In 2021-22, the applicant had not been accepted into any other college or university.
  • Affidavit statement stating that the applicant was not engaged in or suspected of being implicated in any IPC provision(s).
  • Character Certificate from the Competent Authority where the applicant passed his or her previous standard examination.
  • Aspirants who cleared their most recent exam as a private candidate must present a Character Certificate from a Chief of Police, District Magistrate, or Gazetted Officer. The certificated dated prior to February 2021, will not be accepted.
  • Eligible applicants for reserved seat acceptance must provide an authenticated Xerox copy of their caste certificate/CMO certificate. If the original certificate is not shown at the moment of counseling, the applicant will be denied any reservation advantages.
  • Application forms that are accurate in every way and include copies of all necessary papers will be accepted until the deadline.
  • After the deadline, no admission submissions will be accepted.
  • Admission will not be granted if the application form is inadequate.
  • Applicants who pass the admission exam will be asked to go with the Appointing Authority for an interview with their parents/guardians.

Prohibition for Admission in the College

Applicants who fall into the following categories will not be accepted as valid to the Institution:

  • Applicants who have failed a class are not eligible to reapply for the same class.
  • Applicants who have been prosecuted under the IPC, or who have been involved in any such disagreement, quarrel, or anti-social conduct whatsoever, or who have misbehaved with college personnel or teachers, will not be accepted for admission.
  • Applicants who are found responsible for cheating on a test would be denied admission to the institution.
  • Applicants with back papers in the first and/or second semesters will not be admitted to the fifth semester. If a student does not have any reappear examination in Semester 1 and/or Semester 2, they will be admitted to Semester 5 online.
  • If an applicant achieves in obtaining admission via falsification or concealment of facts, his or her admission will be revoked upon disclosure.
  • Candidates who are discovered to have used unfair methods in the test will be banned from taking the remainder exams, their whole examination will be invalidated, and they will not be admitted in the future.

Courses Offered by National Post Graduate College

Under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra, which was created with particular funding from the University Grants Commission, the institution also provides bachelor’s and master’s degree programs for vocational training. Under that same initiative, two one-year programs are provided via State University, while two degree and two post-graduate degrees are given through DeenDayalUpadhyayKaushal Kendra. Information and Communication Technology, ITES, Banking, Insurance, and Financial Services are all represented in Kaushal Kendra.

Plenty of the fundamental academic services include well-maintained laboratories, a digitally rich library, a data processing center, and an air-conditioned public library. The National Postgraduate College of Lucknow also offers a few Certificate Courses in Forensic Science, Psychological Counseling, Communication Skills in English, and Computer Science, among other subjects.   • Advanced Diploma in Quantitative Techniques and Empirical Research is a postgraduate qualification.
