Every year lakhs of candidates’ admission through DET Odisha 2023. On the basis of marks secured in entrance exams, candidates will get allotted seats. Not only marks are important candidates should also be eligible and qualified to apply. There are limited seats and completion among candidates is high. Odisha DET 2023 Application Form

The Application form will be available from the last week of April. Candidates have to fill in all detail carefully. Read all detail carefully after that fill application. Documents required to be uploaded in the application form are the latest colored passport size photographs. Candidates can pay application form fees through online and offline modes. Once payment is made online or remitted it will not be refunded back. Candidates are suggested to keep copies of the filled application form for future use. Candidates are informed to keep the printout of the confirmation page for further reference.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission to 1st Semester Diploma Non-Engineering Courses:

  • The upper age limit is 14 Years for Beauty culture and 16 years for HM & CT/MOM.
  • 10+2 qualification or equivalent in any discipline from Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha is compulsory with 35% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam.
  • 30% of marks in each subject are also mandatory to score.
  • For the 1st year Diploma in Pharmacy course, the candidate must pass the 12th exam in PCM/PCB with 35% marks.
  • For the Beauty Culture course, the educational qualification is the same as for the 1st-semester Engineering/Technology course.

Admission to 1st Semester Diploma in Engineering/Technology:

  • Except for mining & drilling, the age of the candidate must be 14 years for all courses.
  • Candidates must qualify for the HSC/10th examination from the recognized board and University of BSE, Odisha.
  • Candidate must secure 35% aggregate marks in Math, Science, and English with 30% marks in each subject.

Admission to 3rd Semester (Lateral Entry) Diploma in Engineering & Technology:

  • The minimum age limit for this course is 14 years (No upper age limit is applicable).
  • 12th or equivalent with PCM stream from Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha.
  • 10th with a minimum of 35% marks from BSE, Odisha.

Admission to Film & TV Courses:

  • The candidate’s age must lie between 16 to 28 years as of 1st June 2023 (relaxation of 3 years will be given to SC/ST).
  • For Cinematography/Sound & TV Engineering: Passed the 12th examination in the science stream from State board/CBSE /ICSE with minimum marks of 35% in aggregate in the qualifying exam.
  • For Film & Video Editing, candidates have to pass 10+2 or intermediate in Science/Arts/Commerce stream from any board with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks.

Application Fee

  • Rs.450/- for General Male candidates.
  • Rs.350/- for General Female candidates.
  • Rs.200/- for SC/ST/PC/Female candidates.
  • The application fee is non-refundable.
  • The fee can be paid through credit card /Net banking / ATM-cum-Debit card /e-Challan at any Branch of Axis Bank.

Odisha DET 2023 Counselling

  • The Counseling will be started from the 1st Week of July 2023.
  • A merit list will be prepared according to marks secured by candidates in entrance exams.
  • On the date of document verification, the candidates must pay the fee of Rs. 200/- (Counseling Fee).

Documents required at the time of interview/discussion

  • Downloaded the Allotment Letter from the DET website.
  • Self-attested recent passport size photographs.
  • Conduct Certificate and SLC / CLC of the institution last studied.
  • Migration Certificate in case of candidates passing the 10th standard examination from any Board other than Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

Odisha DET 2023: Important Points

  • The Candidates, who wish to apply, must apply online only.
  • Candidates are required to report before the scheduled start time of the counselling for the verification & security check.
  • There will be certificate verification where the candidate’s original documents must be produced.
  • Candidates have to bring a printout of filled-in the application form, counselling fee, passport size photographs, original certificates, id proof, etc with them during the counselling, and submit the xerox copies of documents required.
  • Candidates are advised to keep a minimum of 3 sets of xerox copies of all the required certificates with them.
