HP TET 2024: Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) is the state-level test conducted for the recruitment of teachers at primary and upper primary levels. The aim to check the eligibility of candidates for the post of teacher in various government schools in HP.  HP TET will take place in two parts for two different categories of applicants, one who is applying for the class 1 to 5 teaching and others who are applying for 6 to 8 classes.

HP TET 2024 Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria

• The age of candidates must be minimum of 18 years.
• Candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Candidate must have a domicile of Himachal Pradesh to get extra benefit.
• Relaxation of 5% is permissible for the candidates of reserved category in the qualifying examination and in HP TET
• Candidate of the final year in their respected program are also eligible for HP TET 2024.

Stream	Requirement
TGT(Arts)	B.A/B.com with minimum 50% marks with 1 year B.Ed. Or 10+2 with a minimum of 50% and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education.
TGT(Non-Medical)	B.Sc. (Non-Medical) with a minimum of 50% marks with 1-year B.Ed. Or 10+2 with a minimum of 50% and a 4-year bachelor in Elementary Education or B.Sc.(N.M.Ed).
TGT(Medical)	B.Sc.(Medical) with a minimum of 50% marks with 1-year B.Ed. Or 10+2 with a minimum of 50% and 4-year bachelor in Elementary Education or B.Sc. (Medical Education).
Language Teacher(Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi)	Bachelor of Arts with Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi as an elective subject and 2-year diploma in elementary education/1 year B.Ed. M.A.(Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi) with any recognized university and 1-year B.Ed.
Shastri	with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institute from the H.P. government.
Junior-Basic Teacher	10+2 with minimum 50% marks and 2-year JBT certificate from a duly recognized awarding body or a 1-year diploma in Elementary Education.

HP TET 2024 Application form

• Candidates must read eligibility criteria and guidelines before applying. The mode of Application for the HP TET is online.
•  Applicants must go through the official website, www.hpbose.org.

• Candidate must create his/her profile on the portal by using a valid e-mail id. Here, you must provide personal details.
• At first, the candidate has to register themselves to get unique user id and password, after this, have to give elementary details asked in format, such as Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s name, DOB, category, Email id, Contact number, Gender, Address etcetera.
• After filling all details, click on the submit button, the next window will show your application number, note down the application number to use it during the sign-in process.
• Now login by using the application number, date of birth, and upload scanned copies of signature and photographs in jpg format.
• In the next step, you have to pay the application fee, you can pay the application fee by any of the online methods such as debit card /credit card /net banking.
• After successful submission of payment, take the printout of confirmation page and slip of payment proof for the future reference.

Exam Pattern

• Mode of Examination: The exam will be conducted in offline mode (Pen &Paper).
• Questions: There will be 150 objective type questions in the Exam.
• Maximum marks:150
• Duration: The exam will be of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• Marking scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
• Negative Marking: No Provision of negative marking.

HP TET 2024 Syllabus

• Language 1: Comprehension based question and concept for language development.

• Language 2(English): Comprehension based question in English and Development of language.
• Environmental Studies: Air, Water, Parts of Body, Habitats, Natural Resources, Solar system, Food resources, and Care.
• Mathematics: Numbers, Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Shapes and Spatial Understanding.
• Child Development Pedagogy: Child development, Understanding children with special needs, the concept of Inclusive Education and Learning Pedagogy.

HP TET 2024 Important Points

• Candidates willing to appear in HP TET for more than one teaching category, have to submit a separate application for each.
• HP TET certificate will be valid for the next 7 years from the date of the issue.
• The medium of examination will be English and Hindi both.
• As there is no provision of negative marking so minimum qualifying score for the HP TET is 60%.
• If one applicant clears the exam with required cut off but he/she is not eligible as eligibility criteria prescribed by the authority will not be awarded by the TET certificate.

HP TET 2024 Admit Card

• Candidates can download admit card for HP TET from the official website of the Authority.
• Admit card will be issued to candidates 15 days before the commencement of the examination.
• Candidates are required to print a copy of the Admit card.
• Admit card will contain details like Roll number, personal details of the candidate like name, Father Name, Date of Examination, Timing, and venue of Examination.
• Admit card is the mandatory document and must be carried on the day of examination.
• Candidate can download the admit card by entering the application number and date of birth.
